So many contraception options… how do you know which one is right for you?
🤯💭 Pill, condom, injection, implant, coil - it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. Every body, every life situation, and every relationship is different, so the “best” method depends on you.
➡️Ask yourself: How bad would it be if I get pregnant now? Do I want a solution, that works longer? Then an implant, a copper or hormonal IUD could be a good option. They provide protection for anywhere from 3 to up to 10 years, depending on the type
➡️Hormonal or non-hormonal? If this is an important question for you, then look at which methods contain hormones (e.g., the pill, the ring, or the patch) or which work without hormones (e.g., the diaphragm, cervical cap, or the copper coil).
➡️Easy to hide? If you prefer a discreet solution, then long-term contraception (e.g. implants or coils) might be interesting for you, or the injection, because it’s given only every one to three months, depending on the type, - making it a discreet option
➡️Does it protect against sexually transmitted infections? If this is your priority, then you can't avoid condoms: they are the only method that protects against diseases transmitted in bed.
There’s no rush and no wrong question — learning is the first step to feeling confident. 🤟
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Getting the right information helps you choose calmly, safely, and on your own terms.
