You know that thing you keep saying you'll do tomorrow?
The email. The call. The conversation.

What if the reason you're not doing it has nothing to do with laziness — and everything to do with protection?

I wrote about this on the blog this week. Why we freeze when it matters most, and what actually helps us move through it.

If this resonates and you'd like to go deeper, my Discovery Sessions are a good place to start: coachkristina.net/offers-and-bookings

Own your shadows, own your life. 💙

Filming from paradise... still talking about shadow work 🌴

There's a quote I love: "Wherever you go, there you are." (Jon

Because your shadows don't get stopped at customs. They come right along with you.

That dream holiday, the fresh start, the new city - beautiful, yes. But your inner world travels too.

The good news? That means you can do your healing from anywhere. Including right where you are now.

Own your shadows, own your life.

Comparison is a trap. And here's why it's so unfair.

You're looking at someone who thrives in conditions that would wilt you. And wondering what's wrong with you.

Nothing is wrong with you. You're just a different species entirely.

You need different light. Different soil. Different care.

Stop measuring yourself against someone who was never meant to grow the way you grow.

🌱 If you're ready to discover what YOU actually need, I offer three Discovery Sessions for women navigating this exact terrain: coachkristina.net/offers-and-bookings

Own your shadow, own your life.

That moment when you have a huge realisation... and then find yourself right back in the old pattern a week later.

The insight was real. It just means you're in the part that takes longer—and that's where the real work lives.

The need for control isn't a flaw. It was protection.

If you grip tight, it's because somewhere along the way the world felt unsafe. Of course you held on. It made sense then. But what protected you once might be exhausting you now.

Maybe it's time to see what stays when you open your hands.

Full moon magic from Barbados 🌕

So bright, so full.

And yet the moon has a side that's always in darkness. We never see it, but it still belongs.

We all have parts of ourselves we keep tucked away. Shadow work isn't about fixing those parts — it's about letting them belong.

What's coming up for you this full moon?

If you're curious about exploring your own shadows, I offer Discovery Sessions — a safe space to begin. Details at coachkristina.net/offers-and-bookings 🤍

When someone triggers you, there are two paths.

Path one is blame. You get to be right. You get sympathy. You get to point at them and say "They're the problem, not me."

And honestly? Sometimes we need that. It's a valid stage.

But here's what I've learned: when I stay there, the same patterns keep finding me. Same triggers, different people. Nothing changes.

Path two is harder.

It asks: why is my reaction so big? What old wound is this person poking?

When I ask that question, I get something blame never gives me – choice.

I can work with my own wound. I can write a new story.

Not one where I let them off the hook. But one where I'm not trapped in the same painful loop, waiting for them to change so I can feel better.

The trigger stops being a problem. It becomes a doorway.
That's where the power is.

Someone triggered me recently. I mean, reeeeally triggered me.

I wanted to fire off a message telling him exactly how out of line he was.
My fingers hovered over the screen.

But then I realised, he was poking an old wound – one that had nothing to do with him.

So instead of sending the message, I sat with myself. Asked what this reminded me of.

The answer took me back to childhood. To a little girl who learned her voice didn't matter. Who learned to shrink so she wouldn't be a threat to a parent who needed to keep me small.
Just like this guy who was triggered me now.

That's who was reacting. Not the grown woman. The wounded child.

So I did what I couldn't do back then. I welcomed her, made her feel seen, heard. Told her she's allowed to take up space now. That she matters.

And I realised, however righteous, however powerful this anger felt, it had actually been keeping me from healing the wound.

That's shadow work. Not fixing the other person. Meeting the younger parts of ourselves with the love they're longing for.

What if procrastination isn't a problem to fix, but a message to listen to?

We avoid things not because we’re lazy, but because some part of us learned that trying equals danger. Maybe from an old story, or words that hurt.

The breakthrough comes when we stop fighting ourselves—and start updating the script. You’re not broken. You’re just protecting an old wound.

If this resonates, pause and ask: What’s the story I’m still carrying? Ready to rewrite it?

Let the armour dissolve...

Ever notice how you only freeze up when it really matters?

That procrastination isn’t laziness. It’s your body trying to protect you like amour, from judgment, from failure, from old echoes that say you’re not enough.

When the stakes feel high, avoidance is safety.

The shift? Ask yourself: What’s the real fear behind this task?

Name it. Thank it. Then gently show it your new reality. How far you've come since that old fear made a home inside your belly. You're safe now to let it go.

Next time you catch yourself avoiding, try meeting that fear with kindness instead of criticism. What might change?

Ever had a breakthrough and thought, "This is it—everything's about to change"...
..only to find yourself stuck in the same old pattern a week later?

Here’s the truth: seeing a pattern isn’t the same as being free of it. The real change happens in those tiny pauses—the moment you notice the old urge, breathe, and make a different choice, even if just for ten seconds.

That’s where new pathways are built. If you’re in this in-between, what’s one small pause you could give yourself today?

For more, check out the blog article https://coachkristina.net/breakthrough-but-still-stuck/

Ever had a breakthrough moment—then found yourself doing the same old thing a week later? You’re not alone. Real change rarely happens all at once. The insight is the doorway, not the finish line.

After a big realisation, old patterns can feel even louder. That doesn’t mean you’re back at square one. Each tiny pause, each new choice, is how you start to rewrite the code that’s been running in the background for years. Progress is in the gap between the impulse and the action—even if it’s just ten seconds of breathing before you reply "yes" when you meant "no".

What’s one small pause you’ve noticed lately? Share below or just take a breath. Change lives there, not in fireworks.
