The Mindful Warrior The Mindful Warrior is committed to bringing mindfulness-based practices into our military community. Hi!

We’re Jason and Kim, a military couple that’s devoted to sharing mindfulness-based practices specifically designed for members of our military community. Together, our mission is to help our service men and women create a routine and mindset that feels authentic, purposeful and practical through yoga, mindfulness, and specialized wellness practices to help reduce stress and improve quality of life. During your military career, you trained in high-stress, high-tempo environments without the adequate tools to help you release the stress when it was no longer needed to survive. This is where we found that by incorporating mindfulness-based practices such as breathing techniques, mindful movement, meditation, and somatic practices you can halt the stress cycle and create new pathways. Being able to understand HOW and WHY our bodies and brains work the way they do and how yoga, meditation, and mindset practices can help improve and balance these functions is invaluable. Through our experience working with service members across the globe, and leading yoga and meditation sessions, retreats, and workshops, we’ve seen this work in ways that are beautiful to see unfold. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, or symptoms of PTSD, or just want to learn more mindful habits we are excited to share specific tools so we can SERVE YOU and create pathways to restoration, one practice at a time.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here’s to love that laughs in the face of challenges and friendships that light up our darkest days. Today, let’s celebrate the bonds that weave together laughter, love, and unwavering support. 💕

Fun fact… we attempted this pose earlier this week filming our partner yoga class and could not get it right and laughed at our failure 😂 today when we taught the class in person we tried again and laughed our way through our success. Lesson learned… laughter makes everything better 😂❤️🙌

Over the past year Kim has been teaching our Mindful Warrior program with The Red Cross at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center for 2 behavioral health programs for soldiers and airmen. It has been challenging at times but mostly it’s exhilarating. Watching these soldiers use yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices to help them on their healing journey is so damn rewarding and every time I’m here with them I’m reminded that this is so much bigger than just an hour on our mats. It’s what we take with us off our mats that makes the difference in the long run. It’s never too late to find tools to help you & if you need help knowing where to start, we’ve got you. 2024 feels like it’s about to be a whole new book for us, not just a new chapter. Which is both exciting and terrifying BUT we’re excited to be here with you, sharing our story & hoping to inspire our military connected family to show up mindfully even when it’s hard AF.

Here’s what we’re looking forward to this year:

It’s not a huge list but with the curveball of retirement possibly coming sooner than expected we are keeping ourselves aligned with what’s going to be best for our family. If we’ve learned anything over the past 2 years, it’s that being present (even through the hard stuff) is the most valuable thing.
