When should you drink water in the day? 🫗
Of course, when you feel thirsty, there are some special times when you should drink water to help you maintain your health.
Ayurveda gives detailed guidelines for it.
In Ayurveda, water is not just a drink but a therapeutic agent when consumed mindfully and with balance. Its healing potential is maximized when aligned with the body's constitution (Prakriti) and current imbalances.
Water is one of the five essential elements (Pancha Mahabhutas) that form the basis of life.
It is linked to Jala Mahabhuta, which is associated with hydration, nourishment, and cooling effects on the body.
When consumed appropriately, water helps balance the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha).
From a scientific perspective, drinking water is essential for nearly every physiological function in the body, as it maintains fluid balance, supports metabolic processes, and promotes overall health.
The brain is around 75% water; even mild dehydration can affect mood, concentration, and cognitive function. Studies have shown proper hydration supports short-term memory, alertness, and cognitive flexibility. Hydration also affects neurotransmitter balance and oxygen flow to the brain, influencing mental performance.
Drinking water regularly throughout the day is more beneficial than consuming large amounts at once. Thirst is generally a reliable indicator, but external factors like temperature, activity level, and individual health conditions can impact hydration needs.
Ayurveda knows how important drinking water, is and gives detailed information about it to maintain health.
Ayurveda suggests,

निशान्ते पिबेत जलम |
This means drinking water in the early morning, just after waking up.
Drinking water right after waking up has several science-backed benefits and is a simple practice to support overall health. Here are key reasons why this habit can be beneficial:
Drinking a glass of warm water after waking up helps cleanse the digestive tract and kick-start metabolism.
Drinking water in the morning helps set a healthy hydration pattern for the day. It can curb the urge to reach for caffeinated drinks first thing, which can be dehydrating, and instead establish a balanced hydration routine.

Hello Everyone, Namaste,
Wants to strengthen your leg muscles than join us.
Let´s strengthen our physical, mental, and emotional health by practicing standing yoga postures. ‘More you walk more you live’. This phrase applies to strengthening our legs first.
Standing yoga pose can help to improve body posture by strengthening the muscles that support the spine and promoting alignment of the spine, shoulder, and hips. This can reduce the risk of developing posture imbalances and associated musculoskeletal problems.
Research has shown that yoga practice can decrease levels of stress hormones such as cortisol and increase feelings of well-being and relaxation.
People who stand for a long time as part of their work requirements should practice standing yoga postures to avoid musculoskeletal injuries and improve efficiency at the workplace.
This whole March month’s Friday we will practice standing poses, pranayama, and relaxation to strengthen our wheels to walk. Come and join our Friday ‘Yoga for Everyone’ session from 17.30 to 18.30 at Ejerslykke Skole. You can pay accordingly if you want to attend the class.

What are the basic things to survive?
Air
Water
Food
These are the most important to Survive. Ayurveda suggests detailed information on water and food for health. Yoga teaches breathing techniques. According to both science health means physical, mental, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
Air means Oxygen, which is vital for the human body to function properly. Breathing means supplying oxygen to the body and removing carbon dioxide from the body. Breathing is indispensable for sustaining life. Breathing deeply and mindfully can have profound benefits for both body and mind. The breathing process is directly connected to the brain and central nervous system. It helps to maintain PH balance, regulate stress, enhance physical performance, and cognitive function, and promote emotional well-being.
In Yogic science, Pranayama is more than simple breathing exercises and it must be practiced systematically and under proper guidance. Prana means vital life force and ayama means control. It is not merely breath control, but a technique through which the quantity of prana(vital force) in the body is activated to a higher frequency. Pranayama allows more time for the exchange of gases in the cells, i.e. oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Hatha Yoga says, to control the prana, and the mind is automatically controlled.
Let´s try the ancient science of life Ayurveda and yoga for wellbeing.
