DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT: PHILLIP FRANCIS
The management and staff of The North Eastern Funeral Association wish to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Phillip Francis. His death announcement is published below:
We announce the death of Phillip Francis better known as “Unicef” or “Buddah” age 76 of Grandbay. He died on Saturday 7th March, 2026 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He was the father of: Johnny in Dominica, Debborah in Guadeloupe and Gemmah Francis in the United States of America.
He will also be remembered by his:
Brothers: Dorcas Jack Francis in Dominica, Willet Francis in the United States of America and Gerald Francis in England.
Sisters: Decima Francis Etienne in Fab in Bagatelle, Matilda Francis Hughes and Francillia Francis in the United States of America and Flora Francis in St. Thomas.
Grandchildren: Mervin and Faith Francis in Dominica, Jamisha Smith, Warner and Malik Smith in the United States of America.
Great grandchildren including: Anysa Niviyah Warner in the United States of America.
Nieces: Karen, Josepher, Zenith, Kishma, Evol, Taliah, Shayen, Natalia and Kierra in the United States of America, Rhonda, Taliah in St.Thomas, Delly Bernadette and Cassandra in Dominica and Kaylan in St.Kitts.
Nephews: Kern, Mafrica and Marcus in the United States of America, Jossess, Dwayne, Direl and Delon in Dominica.
Cousins: Jeanmark, Sandra, Gweneth, Maryanne, Nano, Henry, St. Louis, Arthur and the Leatham family.
Many more relatives and friends names too numerous to mention.
The procession for the late Phillip Francis better known as “Unicef” or “Buddah” of Grandbay will proceed down the Lalay from 12noon to the Geniva Playing Field for viewing from 1:00pm on Friday 10th April, 2026 and will be followed by funeral service then Private Burial on the Geniva Estate.
