“Dhātā in the beginning created the sun and moved the heaven, the earth, the firmament, and the happy sky.”

He is the giver of boons based on our true devotion. He is the god of health, wealth, and peacefulness.

March 24 is Matsya Jayanti.
Matsya is Sanskrit: मत्स्य), for "fish" and the first incarnation of Vishnu.
A little fish found Manu, the first man that ever lived and asked him to protect him from a bigger fish that wanted to eat him and he in return would one day protect him from a big flood.
Manu accepted and took the little fish and put him in safe water for it to grow and later transferred him to the ocean when he was big enough. The fish thanked him and told him to build a ship to attach to the fish and be protected on the day of the deluge which the fish told Manu.
He survived and did sacrifices from which the Goddess Ida came to marry Manu and give birth to the lineage that would populate the Earth. This story is traced to the Rg Veda and is from where Noah's Arc came from.
Matsya slays a demon named Hayagriva (son of sage Kashyapa and Diti) who steals the Vedas, and thus is lauded as the saviour of the scriptures.

Chaitra Shukla Pratipada is on March 22 and marks the beginning of Spring and the new year!
The new year starts with Chaitra Navratri, nine days of worshipping Divine Mother Durga, in her nine forms, introspection, devi puja and meditation.
Durga was born fully grown and absolutely gorgeous from the sankalpa of all the male gods who couldn't defeat the demon Mahishasura. They gave her all their strengths and weapons. Durga, embodying their collective energy, is both derivative from the male divinities and the true source of their inner power.
She is also greater than any of them.
Durga presents a fierce menace to her enemies. She is usually depicted riding a lion and with 8 or 10 arms each with a weapon given to her by the gods to kill the buffalo demon.
