First PhD research project completed

*Calling all endurance-based athletes! 📢*
We're looking for participants to join our exciting research project looking at the effect of ketone supplements on gene expression 🚀
*What will happen during the study?*
You will need to visit the LJMU lab to:
• Consume a moderate-carbohydrate diet for one day (meals provided).
• Complete 90 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise (cycling).
• Consume a ketone supplement or a placebo.
• Provide five blood samples and 4 muscle biopsies (2 per visit).
• Complete a cognitive test battery.
*What are the benefits of participating?*
After completion of the study, you will receive:
• VO2 max test results
• Body composition analysis results
• Nutrition support (i.e., Race nutrition strategy or one-week training nutrition guidance)
