🌍✨ Port Said is lifting science to new heights!
The FORGE Foundation, in collaboration with Abbott, proudly announces the upcoming scientific satellite:
“When Hormones Shift, Knowledge Lifts” 🛰️

From adolescence to menopause, hormones shape every stage of a woman’s life. This meeting will spotlight evidence-based insights, bridging research with real-world care—because empowering women’s health means empowering communities. 💡👩‍⚕️

🧠 PRES — Rare, But Stay Aware!

PRES (Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome) isn’t a term most obstetricians use every day, but we do encounter it postpartum — often disguised as “just eclampsia.”

Headache, seizures, confusion, and visual loss can all be early signs. And interestingly, a recent systematic review of women with preeclampsia and eclampsia found that when neuroimaging was actually performed, PRES appeared in about half of eclampsia cases and almost one-fifth of severe PET cases — meaning many of these patients may have PRES that we simply don’t diagnose.

👉 Clinical takeaway: Any postpartum woman with neurological symptoms deserves prompt imaging (preferably MRI). Most cases improve dramatically once identified and treated early.
