Ptosis correction or correction of the weak elevation muscle of the eye lid can be done for different reasons in children or adults. It is mainly due to weak muscle or the supporting structures of the muscle. It is not just considered a cosmetic surgery but a surgery to correct visual field of the patient especially in children as it affects the vision development if it is obscuring the visual field so the child gets what is called amblyopia or lazy eye.

This man came to our care complaining of heavy eye lids causing his eyelids to be heavy and causing his peripheral visual field to be affected. Dr. Raslan performed upper blepharoplasty and brow support surgery to achieve an astounding result and helping him to continue his life in a normal way.

For cases as these the target of surgery is not cosmetic...it is functional...the patient did not seek the cosmetic part he had a life affecting complaint so upper blepharoplasty in his case was essential.

The surgery was :
1- under local anesthesia (no need for general anesthesia in blepharoplasty surgeries)
2- around 40-45min as a procedure time
3- no covering of the eyes after the operation (just covering the wound)
4-returning to normal daily activities from day one
5-removal of stitches is after 7-10 days

Remember our beautiful lady from Morocco who came especially for upper blepharoplasty? (Check video review) now it's 3 weeks after her surgery and she can't be more happy with her results 😍

Our choice for Korean blepharoplasty for her hooded eyes was based on:

1- no visible wound over the eyelid
2-same result for correction of hooded eye lids
3-her wound is easily concealed compared to the lid wound

Lower blepharoplasty for fat redirection...this beautiful young woman came to our care complaining of lower eye bags and under eyes hollowness (tear trough hollowness) and skin dark circles...in such case we performed lower eyes fat redirection where we repositioned the fat to fill the hollowness and give a smooth under eye look. We also combined the treatment with plexr (plasma pen exeresis) for skin tightening and collagen stimulation and now she can't be more happy 😃

The operation was under local anesthesia and lasted for 45 -50 min with no risk to the eyes

This beautiful lady came to our care complaining of lower eye lid circles that were bothering her youthful look

Careful examination showed that she has 2 reasons for dark circles in her case:

1- Hereditary lower lid dark circles
2- Skin wrinkles that increased the appearance of the dark circles and slowed the blood circulation around her eyes causing more darkness.

The treatment options available are:
1- In mild cases: Skin whitening treatments with a dermatology specialist + skin tightening non surgical options like RF microneedling, dermapen with mesotherapy or Co2 laser for skin tightening

2- In more advanced cases: skin tightening via lower blepharoplasty

In this patient we chose skin tightening via lower blepharoplasty cause she was not going to benefit from non-surgical options as she had advanced skin wrinkles and that is her result after 3 months 😃
