Simple Homemade Cinnamon OAT MILK 💚

You need:
1 cup of oats
4 cups of water
a pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (more or less, depending if you like cinnamon)

Instructions:
Put all the ingredients in a blender. When everything is blended use a cheesecloth or a bag for making plant based-milk to strain your milk.

OPTIONAL: soak oats in water for 2h for extra creaminess.

Potrebuješ:
1 merico ovsenih kosmičov (lahko uporabiš 2dl kozarec)
4 merice vode
ščepec soli
1 žlička cimeta (več ali manj, odvisno od tega, če vam je cimet všeč)

Navodila:
Vse sestavine daš v mešalnik. Ko je vse zmešano uporabiš gazo ali vrečko za izdelovanje rastlinskega mleka in mešanico precediš.

1/12/18 ✧ I officially have knowledge of Wellness!

A lot of people ask me what studying “Wellness” even is about, and I think that The World Health Organization has this basic definition well covered: "...a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

Graduating is like hitting a milestone, even though I think that my growth started after finishing with my diploma. The biggest life changer was getting into Ayurveda, yoga and traditional medicine. A whole new world blew up, new perspectives were (and are still being) born, and the discoveries were just beginning.

It is not as dramatic as it sounds, but I can say that I am a different person coming out of this Education. I am grateful for the seeds planted during this experience, and I am excited for what is planned ahead.

As a Captain would say: Full speed ahead! But remember to meditate first.

Veliko ljudi me vpraša, kaj sploh je študij “Velnes” in jaz mislim, da to lepo povzame Svetovna Zdravstvena Organizacija v definiciji: ...stanje popolnega fizičnega, duševnega in družabnega blagostanja, in ne zgolj odsotnost bolezni ali slabost.”

Diplomirati je kot zadetek mejnika, čeprav meninim, da se je moja rast začela po napisani diplomi.

Največjo spremembo za moje življenje je naredilo raziskovanje Ayurvede, joge in tradicionalnih medicin. Nov svet je izbruhnil, novi pogledi so se in se še vedno rodijo ter nova odkritja so se komaj začenjala.

Ni tako dramatično kot se sliši, ampak lahko povem, da sem po končanem študiju drugačna oseba. Hvaležna sem, za semena, ki so bila posajena skozi te izkušnje in se veselim za prihodnje načrte.

Kot bi rekel kapitan: S polno paro naprej! Ampak ne pozabi prej še meditirati.

24/11/18 New seasons, new adventures, new lessons. Let’s fly together.

Feeling the ups and downs a bit more drastically lately. Riding these waves daily, without knowledge or direction. Feeling the resistance making it harder to truly grasp the moment; live it and release it. Going down is more frustrating than scary. I go into overthinking, as if the present feeling was infinite. Realizing it is not, that it is passing, may not even be hard. But living this realizations is when we spread out wings.

✶ Do you feel resistance in any areas of your life? Why are you holding on?

Supermarkets produce a whopping 800,000 tonnes of plastic a year. Some plastic can be recycled, but most ends up in landfill or incinerated, as litter or in our rivers and oceans.

To get the most out of fruits and vegetables it is important to eat seasonally. 🍓

That means eating food that is grown and harvested at the time/season you buy them, so they don't lose their flavor and health benefits or spoil while sitting in a shipping container. With that, you get the most out of the fruits and vegetables you buy!

Foods that are not in season, have to be shipped from around the world, and so they have to be picked before they are ripe so they can mature while traveling. This means that they are normally more expensive, and also don't have the taste and health benefits as local, seasonal fruit. 🍊🍌

One more bonus when buying locally is that you can support local businesses and farmers that are more sustainable. I also really like that I can bring my own bags or containers, so I don't use more unnecessary plastic, and it feels good to support our Earth in that way. ☺️

Eating seasonally is a lot easier than you may have thought. If you go to the farmers market you will already only have seasonal options, but otherwise, you can just check what food is seasonal in your country.

I've been thinking about what is the difference between hypnosis and television.

Sometimes when I see other people watching television, they look to me as if they are in a state of hypnosis. Only focused on the screen, as if it is pulling them in, and sometimes not even able to hear what other things are going on around them.

I came across this blog post, that kind of summarizes and explains how the TV actually influences our mind, and why is it similar to hypnosis.
