Science drives progress in women’s health, and education brings it to life — far beyond hormone therapy alone.
At today’s Future of Ovarian Health event in London, I shared what I see in daily practice: many women becoming trapped by false promises — topical “progesterone creams” that do not protect the endometrium and may cause hyperplasia, or testosterone pellets that can lead to hair loss, lipid changes and weight gain, while offering no proven long-term benefit.
Research must be supported, and education must reach women before marketing does.
Otherwise, many will keep investing in low-value or risky treatments that distract from what truly matters — protecting cardiovascular, metabolic, bone and hormonal health through evidence-based, individualised care.
It’s not about medicalising menopause.
It’s not about hot flushes.
It’s not only about HRT.
It’s about health — overall, preventive and sustainable.
Because when a woman is healthy, her family, her career and society all thrive.
That’s why I dedicate my work to education — through evidence-based guides, courses and mentorship programmes that empower women to understand their bodies and make informed decisions.
