After an embryo transfer, it’s completely normal to pay attention to every sensation… but how do you know when it’s really time to go to the emergency department? 💛
Here are the symptoms you should watch out for:
🔸 Severe abdominal pain
If the pain is much stronger than a normal cramp, contact your clinic. It may indicate ovarian hyperstimulation or another issue that needs monitoring.
🔸 Heavy bleeding
Light spotting can be normal after a transfer, but bleeding similar to a period (or heavier) requires immediate medical advice.
🔸 Fever above 38°C / 100.4°F
A high fever can be a sign of infection. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
🔸 Dizziness, shortness of breath, or feeling faint
These symptoms should always be taken seriously. Seek medical help right away.
✨ The good news: most patients don’t experience any complications after an embryo transfer.
But if something feels off, trust your instincts. You’re never alone in your IVF journey.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. 🤍
