Next week will be February half term break for many children. Some fun activities your little ones might want to try include…
🎂 Baking treats is a great way to support executive functioning skills (organising, planning), language development (taking about the different ingredients and the method) as well as reading skills (reading the recipe)
🪴 Gardening- as the weather is warming up here in the Costa del Sol, now is a great time to start planting seeds and flowers, supporting gross motor skills (body strength, coordination), manual dexterity (using tools for digging, sorting seeds with fingers) and sensory regulation (being outdoor in nature is a calming experience)
🚲 A family bike ride along the promenade to work on gross motor skills (co-ordination, balance, body strength)
🎨 Arts and crafts to get messy and work on fine motor skills (cutting and pasting, hand painting)
👫Play dates with friends to support social skills, communication skills emotional regulation
