📣 Successful BLS Training for All Awash Staff!

Awash General Hospital has successfully completed Round 1 a two-days Basic Life Support (BLS) training for all clinical and supportive staff — including Nurses, General Practitioners, Midwives, laboratory staff, pharmacists, and other supportive teams.

The training was expertly delivered by Dr. Shimelis Korbu(Emergency & Critical Care Specialist) focusing on essential life-saving skills such as:

✔️ CPR for adults, children & infants
✔️ Airway management
✔️ Use of AED
✔️ Responding to choking emergencies
✔️ Team-based resuscitation

This training aims to strengthen our staff’s ability to respond quickly and confidently during emergency situations ensuring safer and higher-quality care for our patients and community.

We extend our appreciation to Dr. Shimelis Korbu(Emergency and Critical care specialist)for the practical, interactive and inspiring sessions, and to all Awash staff who participated with great enthusiasm.
