አንድ መደበኛ የአልኮል መጠጥ /standard drink/ የሚባለው ከ8-20 ግራም አልኮል ይይዛል፡፡ ይህ ማለት 1 ቢራ፣ ግማሽ ብርጭቆ ዋይን፣ ወይም 1 ሲንግል የተጣራ አልኮል (ቮድካ እና ዊስኪ የመሳሰሉት) ሊሆን ይችላል፡፡

አልኮል ከሰውነታችን ውስጥ በጉበት፣በኩላሊት እና በሳምባ አማካኝነት ሊወገድ ይችላል::

¶ አልኮል ከመጠን በላይ መጠጣት /binge drinking/ ምንድነው?

* በአብዛኛው አንድ ሴት 4 መጠጦችን በ2 ሰዓት ውስጥ ወይም አንድ ወንድ 5 መጠጦችን በ2 ሰዓት ውስጥ ከወሰዱ በኋላ የሚከሰት ነው::

* የደም አልኮል መጠን (BAC)ን ወደ 0.08 % ወይም ከዚያ በላይ ከፍ የሚያደርግ አጠጣጥ ነው፡፡

¶ እኔ ምን አይነት የአልኮል ተጠቃሚ ነኝ?

1.ለመመሳሰል የሚጠጡ ፡- እነዚህ ግለሰቦች ሁል ግዜ አይጠጡም ግን ከሰዎች ጋር ለመመሳሰል ሲሉ ከመደበኛ የአልኮል ተጠቃሚዎች አነስተኛ መጠን ያለው አልኮል የሚወስዱ ናቸው፡፡

2.ማህበራዊ ጠጪ፡- ሁል ግዜ የሚጠጡ ሲሆን በዋነኝነት ከማህበረሰቡ ጋር ግዜ ለማሳለፍ መሀከለኛ መጠን ያለው አልኮል ይወስዳሉ፡፡ ሆኖም ይህ የአልኮል አጠቃቀም በስነ አእምሮ ፣በኣካል እና በማህበራዊ ጤናቸው ላይ ምንም አይነት ተፅዕኖ አያሳድርባቸውም፡፡

3.የአልኮል ጥገኛ፡- አልኮል በስነ አእምሮ፣ በአካል እና በማህበራዊ ህይወታቸው ላይ አሉታዊ ተፅዕኖ ቢያሳድርባቸውም መደበኛ/የማያቋርጡ የአልኮል ተጠቃሚዎች ናቸው፡፡
ይህም ፡-
ከቁጥጥር ውጪ የሆነ የአልኮል አጠቃቀም፣በአልኮል የናወዘ ማንነት እና ይህን ልክ የሌለው የአልኮል አጠቃቀማቸውን በሚክድ ማንነት ይገለፃል
