The Vajrasattva Mantra is one of the most powerful purification mantras used in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
It has 2 main functions:
- to remove impurities and negativities from the emotional, mental, karmic, and physical levels;
- to invigorate positive emotional and mental states, generating inner peace and balance, mental clarity, joy of life, and a state of well-being on all levels.
At the same time, it reawakens the higher qualities of consciousness - luminosity, purity, clarity, compassion, wisdom etc., being of precious help on the spiritual path.
Here are some of the benefits of practicing this mantra:
- it calms down and clears our mind, protecting against negative influences
- improves the clarity of perceptions, the process of understanding and decision-making
- it helps us to focus our attention and thereby increases the efficiency in all the activities we carry out
- frees us from stress, anxiety, negative emotional states, and brings back the state of joy and positive emotions
- it helps in overcoming the state of burn-out
- increases vitality, enthusiasm, initiative
- it helps us regain our inner balance and maintain it in our everyday life
- it dissolves the tensions in the physical body and thus supports the improvement of the state of health
- anchors us in the present, in the here and now, and helps us live each moment to our fullest potential.
This mantra can be learnt and practiced by anyone! It can be integrated in the daily activities, helping us to experience any situation with calmness, clear understanding, and kindness.
