During this last week, many people asked me about my goals and wishes for 2023. However, while thinking about it, I realized that even if it's essential to have a future ambition to aim for, it's even more relevant to appreciate what we have right now.

I want to share with you a 7-fold reflection exercise that will help you be more focused on the moment and realize that sometimes what we desire is what we already can experience in our life. Here it comes:

1) What are you happy about in your life right now?
a. What makes you happy?
b. How does this make you feel?

2) What are you excited about in your life right now?
a. What makes you excited?
b. How does this make you feel?

3) What are you proud of in your life right now?
a. What makes you proud?
b. How does this make you feel?

4) What are you grateful for in my life right now?
a. What makes you grateful?
b. How does this make you feel?

5) What do you enjoy most in your life right now?
a. What do you currently enjoy?
b. How does this make you feel?

6) What are you committed to in your life right now?
a. What makes you have this commitment?
b. How does this make you feel?

7) Who do you love? Who loves you?
a. What makes you love these people?
b. How does this make you feel?

I hope you enjoy the challenging but exciting future ahead of us, but even more, the present moments where we live every single day 😊

Love,
M

Leading a high-performance culture starts with taking care of our energy and recovery. We tend to spend the last month of the year reviewing our achievements and setting new goals for the upcoming year, but you can deepen the value of your reflections with the following questions:

- How did I take care of myself during this last year?
- What can I do differently next year to become better at taking care of my energy levels? How will that help me with my goals for 2023?
- How will others notice these changes?

Just to let you know, your results and potential within you and your team will always be limited by the amount of energy available. As Tony Schwartz said in 2007 at HBR, "Manage your energy, not your time [...] The science of stamina has advanced to the point where individuals, teams, and whole organizations can, with some straightforward interventions, significantly increase their capacity to get things done."

A few years ago, I wrote an article in a magazine about my experience with a near-burnout. I've included a link to download a pdf with the entire blog below.

Have a great rest of the year 🙌

Challenging moments are here not to make our life more difficult but to give us opportunities to grow and keep learning. If I think about the achievements I feel most proud of in my life, they always came after a period of difficulties, confusion, and having to overcome significant hurdles 💪

For this week's reflection exercise, I would like us to remind ourselves about the purpose behind what we do to get that extra push during difficult moments 🙌🏻 I feel empowered when I remind myself: "Try, fail, learn, reload, succeed - Never quit!."

The reflections for this week are:

1- Next time I have a bad day, I should tell myself this.
2- What quote inspires me? Because it makes me want to...

Most of us spend our days running fast on autopilot, losing connection with our inner selves and emotions. It's critical not to forget and nurture a deep connection with our purpose and what brings joy to our life 🤗

I'll post a simple weekly exercise to help those who want to slow down and learn to reconnect or improve their emotional health. The task will be to spend 10' of your day reflecting and introspecting around straightforward but powerful questions. That is all it takes to bring valuable insights into our lives - to look within ourselves 🙌🏻

The questions for you to reflect on this week are: "1- These are things I almost forgot how happy they make me feel... 🥳 2- What would have to happen to have more of those things and moments in my life? 🥰"

I'll be more than happy to hear your reflections either in the comments below or by sending me a private message on Linkedin 💪

Have a great rest of the week!

Last year I had a powerful conversation with William Rowden, and with his permission, I am republishing it in my podcast channel.

During a difficult period in my life, I realized I was chasing after "empty goals," focusing too much on my professions and forgetting for a moment about what was truly important in my life.

That crisis carried with it a lot of insights and learning, and I'd like to share them today with all of you. 🙌🏻

Very often I hear about more companies shifting into trying to become an Agile Enterprise. Still, very few of them are tackling the transformation challenge keeping in mind the cultural and mindset aspect as well. How can you go beyond the traditional agile practitioner training approach, and become a truly agile enterprise, developing a living system with a strategic purpose and identity to innovate and transform? How can agile be the catalyst to develop an environment of performance via collaboration, constructive conflict, and trust?

Listen now to our latest chapter featuring William Rowden. You can find the link to the podcast channel below in the comments.
