Good example how well Gudrun understands how to assist. Winter pasture is open to the road towards draw. She is acting as a living gate. Bonny comes to lift rams, and she does not need a command to keep quarding the gate. She is so precious!

Kelmi Berit (Kelmi Gudrun- Lekebergas Tex) 11,5 months works allready basic tasks on Karho-ojan karjatila - beef cattle farm. She has lots of natural self confidence just like her sister Bonny that I kept at home.

Mated 4.2.26 Kelmi Saarahkka - Kelmi Rongoteus.

Dam Saana (Kelmi Gudrun- Kelmi Maahinen) works on hereford cattle & sheep. Competed in cattle & sheep, breeding test passed on cattle. Natural, free moving bitch with ability to face difficult animals calmly. Works night shifts with handicapped people nursing home, very good temperament.

Sire Roi (Kelmi Jyrä- Jack) works on dairy finncattle. Competed few times well on sheep. Stylish, wide casting male with more eye. Strong attitude with stubborn animals, more like "I take no s**t" kind of guy. Very social with all people.

Saana & Roi are both brave, have no fears with sounds or platforms and works fine both inside & big pastures in different situations.

Both dogs x-rays clear (hips, elbows, shoulders, back) and genetic tests ca lingo3 g vmp1 negative. Inbreeding on 8 generations 2,8%.

We have -26°C ATM, so dogs do like to come to rest & cuddle after work. My personal heaters are Lempo & Bonny.

Kelmi Saarahkka "Saana" has started her season! We have most of our bi***es in heat atm, so even I was expecting Lempo to start later in March, we'll see if she is synchronizing to main pack too.

I had surgery last week and still on recovery, so Saana's plans had a change. Sire for coming litter will be Fox. Interesting male whos dam is imported from Tasmania.

Hello Europe! I'm driving on week 13 23-24.3 through Sweden to Denmark, training in Roeldogsbacken 25-27.3 and then heading to Germany and giving few herding clinics there, one in Wiesenfelt /Jacobs 28-29.3 and one in Herxheim / Friedrich 31.3-1.4. After that I'm heading back home to Finland, but can gladly spend few hours here and there!
I would love to meet working kelpie people near my route and I'm super interested to see good working kelpie males that are experienced in stock work on cattle, sheep or goats. Please feel free to PM me and tell your friends too 💚

Kelmi Bonny Lass is now 10 months. She is pretty strong on animals, wants to face heads and likes to participate in all winter tasks for herding dogs: feeding, pushing stock away from dryfood/ new bales so I can have working space. Taking animals out to exercise and back in.
At home she is very much my shadow, always where I am, asking what should we do next, how can she assist? Or just sleeping near me.
She is about 15-16kg/49cm, not big, but muscular, broader type. I think she will become a good one. Very easy to train, but not too sensitive. Clever girl!
