10,000 Toes Campaign supports Nauru Diabetes Week 2025

The 10,000 Toes Nauru Team — led by Formossa and supported by Prya, Jim, Julyn, and Nurse Sister Teatu — partnered with the Public Health Department to stage a health booth near the Nauru Airport.

Following a 6 km walk around the airport, participants including the Director of Public Health received health screenings. The event ran from 4:30 pm to 8 pm and also engaged members of the public.

This initiative forms part of Nauru’s Diabetic Week, with 10,000 Toes joining Public Health again for the closing day this Friday.

A Successful Event!

We loved being part of the recent TPUM Session 2025 at Fulton College in Fiji.

It was great to meet leaders from across the South Pacific, hear their progress, and talk about the urgent health work still ahead.
Our booths at the event were buzzing with excitement, and it was a joy to reconnect with our amazing team across the region! 💙

From Smoker to Community Leader

Meet Huns Wogapu from the Solomon Islands, who struggled with heavy smoking and addiction for many years.
After joining our Quit Now program, Huns made the brave decision to quit and help others do the same. 💙
Even with hard life challenges, like the sad loss of his mother, he started his own stop-smoking program in his village of Kukudu, creating a positive ripple effect in his community.
Today, Huns is not just smoke-free… he is a mentor, a leader, and a hero in his community! 😍
