World Kidney Day 2024 was celebrated with a fantastic collaboration between staff from Fiji National Kidney Centre, Diabetes Fiji, Kidney Foundation of Fiji, The Kidney Hub and Oceania Hospital.

We held a short morning program which was honored by the presence of MOHMS Permenant Secretary Dr Jemesa Tudravu. This was followed by providing free screening and health advice to the general public all day.

Make sure to spread the message that kidney disease is common and serious, and everyone should get a kidney health check to be sure!

The Fiji National Kidney Centre is operated by the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services.

Services available at FNKC:

1. Nephrology Clinic
Referral from a doctor is required for appointment bookings. Once received, the referral will be triaged and you will be contacted for your appointment date/time. Currently clinics are held on Tuesday 9am-12pm, Wednesday 12pm-4pm and Thursday 9am-12pm

2. Haemodialysis Unit
Available only for Fiji citizens as part of the Ministry of Health and Medical Service (MOHMS) Dialysis Subsidy Program, via attending the Nephrology Clinic. Application forms for MOHMS subsidised dialysis can be picked up from the centre. Staff can provide information about the application process.
