Last week I set a goal to finish, finish the third draft of my memoir. And while I missed hitting my exact deadline, I did finish.

It has taken me years to get to this point and I'm so proud. There is still work to be done, but this is definitely a milestone.

I thought I was done.

I’d just written the last chapter of my book — ten months of work (for this draft) finally complete. ✨

Then I reread the beginning… and there it was: Chapter 2. Unfinished. Messy. Rough.

I’d been so ready to print out the manuscript, to finally hold it in my hands, and read through ir, cover to cover, but that one chapter stopped me cold. 😅

So came the question: Do I start from scratch with chapter 2 or do I painstakingly fix what I’ve already written?
 
To find clarity, I did what I always do here, I went for a walk through the woods in Céret, and this time I talked it out.

This week’s vlog is that walk: part writing journey, part life reflection, and all about finding direction when you’re not sure what to do next.
