Why capable people still hesitate.
Confidence follows competence, not the other way around.
The full framework is in Anxious & Ambitious. Coaching details are in the bio.

Since September, life has been full — work, people, decisions that don’t pause.
What I didn’t fully account for was the constant mental noise that comes with it.

Retreat and stillness aren’t about escaping your life.
They’re about changing the conditions so you can reconnect with yourself and reset your nervous system.

Regulation first. Clarity second.
Save this for your next Sunday reset.

We internalize almost everything now.
The news. Other people’s stress. Constant inundations of updates. Work pressure. Daily decisions that are unending.

We hold it in because there’s no space to process it.
So the body does it for us.

SWe internalize almost everything now.
The news. Other people’s stress. Constant updates. Work pressure. Daily decisions that never seem to end.

We hold it in because there’s no space to process it.
So the body does it for us.

Stress turns into feeling unwell, foggy, reactive, exhausted, or disconnected. It externalises.

Nothing dramatic has to happen for this to take a toll.
Accumulation is enough.

This is why regulation matters as it gives the body and mind a way to release what they’ve been holding so clarity and confidence can return.

A beautiful weekend at the cabin. When it’s just a little bit magical.

I’ve been looking for experiential wellness. I tend to optimise, look for the best, and care about small details and charm. That’s how I found this. And it had everything we were looking for. Sauna. Hot tub. Quiet. Beautiful aesthetics.

–30 with the wind chill. I loved it.

There’s research behind why this works. Heat, cold, stillness, nature. Together, they calm the nervous system, lower cortisol, increase dopamine. The body settles before the mind does. That’s experiential wellness to me.

Not Resolutions. Reconstruction.

Every December 31, the internet fills with declarations: New Year, New Me.And by mid-February, 80 to 90 percent of those resolutions collapse. That isn’t because people lack willpower. It’s because resolutions focus on behavior while ignoring identity, nervous system regulation, and environment. Habit science is clear: sustained change sticks when it is anchored to who you are becoming, not what you temporarily force yourself to do. This year, I didn’t write resolutions.Instead, I wrote two lists: What I’m still working through from the past. What I am deliberately building for my future....

December 2025 Part IV
Hosting an art event with curator while still in recovery and attempting to get under control, reuniting with at (an invitation kindly extended by , one of very few I accepted as an experiment to myself), my birthday that I initially I wasn’t going to do but was prompted to by a friend ( I’m glad she did and thank you so much to those who came out in such short notice. I always have this thought in mind that I’m probably forgotten if I disappear and I never am 🥲) , my friend bought me self care (a haircut, as I haven’t been out or treated myself to anything). Finally stuck for 7 1/2 hours in traffic coming back from Ottawa Christmas and fireplaces), beautiful fall Toronto walk

And finally the center of my book that I use to teach myself, my students, my clients

Everything is a cycle

11:55 almost 2026.

See you next year

August-November 2025 And then came the accident. It was a beautiful summer but a very tragic fall. And so, I focused on restorative activities, things that were centred on being mindful about food and space. We completed more puzzles than I’ve probably done in my entire life over the months that followed.
Concussion Irons are no joke and afterwards about a month then, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease. So it was one thing after another.

May 2025 - July 2025
And then started this spring/summer’s whirlwind of experience and travel. For those of you new on the page, I speak a number of languages and typically stayed within the international circuit. I left Ontario at 20 and returned 10 years later. I learned so much more than languages. it was about deepening connections with people and cultures. A mostly defined way of living and breathing. An entirely new way of knowing

This spring/summer was an homage to that previous life beginning with being my dear friend and wedding officiant, attending the awards thank you , flying to with , getting professional shots down for a secret project, reuniting with my Nani (she’s 89!) , finishing my book (20 years in the making with all my notes and teachings about networking and confidence since I first began teaching), being my book tour in seeing my old friend and then my cousin who I have not seen in over 20 years , having the most amazing meal at , going to for the hundredth time, exploring .explore (loved ), and above all this romantic little Paris dinner cruise on

January 2025-May 2025
I did not post very much this year. Or rather I was posting a lot less. Was particular on curating experiences both in terms of with people and places. Focused a lot more on one on ones.

In that time, I started my second masters, I started writing my confidence and leadership book, I launched my company and coaching services and hosted to additional art events while heading up my department thinking back on that international life I had. I’ve officially now been back in Canada longer than I’ve been in Europe but not longer than all my time away which was about 10 years

I suppose when I think about resolutions and experiences, it really is in the active reflection and recalibration that we learned about ourselves and sometimes that’s through the nothingness and the small moments

But of course this was January until May. Stay tuned for May until December 2025.
