There’s a common belief that therapy is for when things are falling apart:
severe depression
relationship breakdown
a major life event
or past unresolved experiences suddenly resurface.
Of course, therapy can be vital during those times but many of the people I work with don’t arrive in crisis.
They come with questions:
Who am I now?
Why do I feel unsettled, even though life looks fine from the outside?
Why can’t I relax into the life I've built?
Why does something from years ago still have such a strong emotional impact?
At certain stages of life, something can shift: our identity evolves; priorities change; mortality feels more real; parents age; children become independent; bodies change; friendships shift.
You can be functioning well and still feel internally adrift. Therapy can be a space not just for survival, but for reflection and recalibration. A place to make sense of old patterns, lingering experiences, and the quieter questions that we don't always speak out loud. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to seek support.
If you’re feeling reflective, stuck, or quietly unsettled, please feel free to message me privately to find out more about how I work. I offer a confidential space to think, feel and untangle whatever is bothering you.
