🌍🚴♀️ An Incredible Journey – 40 Years in the Making!
We’re so proud to share that Rona Hulbert, daughter of one of our lovely Guardian Live-In Care customers, is setting off on an extraordinary adventure!
Rona and her university friends, Sophie Trafford and Craig Swan, first cycled 17,000 miles from Chile to Alaska back in 1985 — an amazing feat that earned them BBC Scotland’s Scots of the Year.
Now, 40 years later, the trio have reunited to complete the missing link in their epic route — cycling nearly 800 miles through Patagonia to finish what they started all those years ago. 🚴♂️🚴♀️
This time, they’re raising funds for two incredible causes:
💜 Maggie’s Cancer Centre Forth Valley – which supported Rona through her own cancer journey
💙 Epilepsy Research Institute – in memory of Sophie’s son, Hector
Rona’s story is a reminder that courage, friendship, and determination truly stand the test of time.
From everyone at Guardian Live-In Care, we wish Rona, Sophie and Craig a safe and successful journey as they take on the mountains once again!
