๐Ÿ’ก Strategy Spotlight๐Ÿ’ก

This week's blog looks at how we can using breathing as a playful way to self-regulate ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ

Using our breath in fun and imaginative ways can help us get out of fight/flight mode and into a more calm state. It is a really useful tool for helping neurodivergent people manage big feelings and helping them tune into their body signals ๐Ÿง

This week at Aye Aye Club, we enjoyed a relaxed and fun-filled session. We kicked things off with an interactive quiz, before moving on to a variety of games โ€” from Dobble to an unforgettable round of Hot Potato in the gym hall. Highlights included our fantastic volunteer Michael gradually โ€œlosingโ€ the use of his limbs during the game (pictured lying on the gym hall floor, clutching the ball in the one remaining hand he was allowed to use!).

Superheroes don't always wear capes - some volunteer!
