Weight Equilibrium is developed and delivered by Maria Nika, who is a State Registered Dietitian with expertise and working experience in obesity management. Registered Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be statutorily regulated, and governed by an ethical code, to ensure they always work to the highest professional standard. The title ‘dietitian’ is a protected one which can only be legally used by appropriately trained professionals who have met the training and professional requirements of and are registered with the Health Professions Council. Maria is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the British Dietitic Association (BDA) (Full membership). Maria has 9 years working experience in the National Health Service (UK) and two Masters Degrees, one in Human Nutrition and Metabolism and the a second one in Obesity Science and Management, both at commendable level! Moreover, she has also worked in the private sector delivering weight management support to patients considering/having liposuction. Maria has also been trained as a Health Behaviour Change Coach and has broad experience in delivering sessions aiming at improving the health and lifestyle of clients/patients. Expert knowledge on tobacco issues and stopping smoking is another field of expertise, with specialized work experience in mental health. Maria passionately believes that adopting a healthy lifestyle is achievable by anyone, with the right guidance and support. to help you take control of your weight and lifestyle!
