Every child deserves the chance to realise their full potential. This World Hearing Day, we are calling on communities, schools, health systems and families to understand the importance of childhood hearing health.

When hearing loss is diagnosed and supported early, a child can romp and play, laugh, learn and grow with confidence. Together, we can create a world where every child can hear and be heard.

Kennedy was our first winner of the Cochlear Family Achieve Award. Juggling multiple jobs whilst studying for a Masters degree in Disability rights and inclusion, Kennedy works hard to advocate for the deaf community in the Arts. 🎭

"I am still performing and recently filmed an advert which was really fun. I am working on my final major project for my Masters degree and, through my studies, I have been able to make connections with other people who have hearing loss or disabilities. Having hearing loss drives my passion and doesn’t stop me from achieving anything I want to do."

Kennedy's story shows us that what makes us different can become our greatest strength. 💪 Your story matters too. Know someone whose achievements deserve recognition? Learn about this year's award opportunities https://bit.ly/4n7XEwG
