21/11/2025
When I started teaching yoga, my intention was to create calm, welcoming classes. A pause in hectic days and a sense of connection. That was it.
💚
Of course I knew, if I wanted to do this full time I would need to make a living, but everytime I have tried to push SO..Yoga forward as a business it hasn't work for me.
💚
I'm not a business woman, I love yoga and the benefits it offers and want to share that as much as I can. That is it.
💚
From the outside looking in, 2025 might look like my most successful year. From the inside looking out, it has been the hardest.
💚
This last week I have mostly spent in bed. Wiped out by a virus, but with a ni**le in my mind that I am not coping very well.
💚
The retreat was magical, the highlight of the hardest year. But only Darren saw me crying the day before, convinced I couldn't do it. And only Wendy saw me crying in the retreat kitchen because I was homesick, for loves that wouldn't be there when I got home.
💚
I still put my heart into SO..Yoga, even when its hurting. I'm not sure if that's clear; it has recently been suggested I don't care. When in fact, I am just like everyone else; I only have so much to give.
💚
It has been 8 weeks since I returned to classes after a heartbreaking time, and this week I have felt that drained - I have managed to get dressed on one day, for half the day.
💚
For now, I am making some changes. SO..Yoga will be going back to two venues. It is not viable for me to pay rent on 3 venues at this time of year - and it is not viable for me to keep thinking I can push through how I am currently feeling.
💚
This feels like a huge backwards step, but next week will be the last week — for now at least — at The Seaview Colonnade. I will review this in the new year. I have loved teaching there and hope to make it work again next year, but it is a corporate building with corporate-level rent, which is unmanageable — especially in the winter months — for a sole trader like me.
💚
I understand this may disappointing for those who attend classes there. But I have a responsibility to support the venues that have looked after me so well, and gone above and beyond for me for the last 5 years. The venues that to me, feel like home.
💚
Therefore December classes will be held at Empower Fitness Studio and Trusthorpe Village Hall you can view the time table here:

Everyone is welcome. The classes are pay on arrival, you simply message me to book in.
💚
Thank you, for your patience, support and understanding.

With love,
Steph
