‼️Protein shakes‼️

It’s the most buyer products in the supplement market. Lots of different types of protein shakes as well.

📚 Whey
📚 Casein
📚 Egg

Should you buy them?? 🤔

You can, if you are hitting the other stages first before going to supplements which are

✅Calories
✅Macros
✅Micros
✅Timing

Once you’ve got those stages in place, then you can supplement. It’s NEVER to replace a meal.

If you are vegetarian or vegan. It MAY benefit you to have protein shakes due to essential amino acids that protein shakes can have.

Podcast with was great to talk to him about his time as a Sports Scientist and a Strength & Conditioning coach.

We go into types of drills he may have used, who he trained and possible equipment needed. A day in the life as a sports scientist 😊

Have a look on the platforms to find the podcast 👍

We have 2 fantastic Personal Trainers who have joined

📚 - Cameron is a good friend of mine, we went on training together to be better PTs. He has just recently qualified as a Animal flow Level 1 Instructor, he also has a undergraduate degree in Sports and Exercise Science and Sports Massage

📚 - Calum and I used to work together in a sweet shop 🤣 He has transitioned to be a Personal Trainer and has a background in boxing. Calum is currently going through his Level 3 GP referral and Level 3 Pre/post natal qualification.

If you are looking for any sessions with them then we can set you up and can be 121 or Online PT 😊

Total daily energy!!

📚BASAL METABOLIC RATE

This accounts for more than 60% of your total energy expenditure. Even when resting, your body utilises energy (calories) by performing basic functions to sustain life, such as breathing, circulation, the processing of nutrients and cell regeneration. This is known as your basal metabolic rate or BMR.

Non-resting energy expenditure. This is made up of three components.

📚NEAT or non-exercise activity thermogenesis.

NEAT is the energy expenditure we have walking, standing, climbing stairs, fidgeting and maintaining and changing posture. Anything outside of formally planned or structured exercise falls under this category.

📚EAT or Exercise Activity Thermogenesis

EAT is defined as planned, structured, and repetitive physical activity with the objective of improving health. Doing sport or going to the gym falls under this category. NEAT accounts for much more energy expenditure than EAT therefore habitual daily activity and movement can contribute hugely to improving energy balance.

📚TEF or Thermic effect of Food

As previously mentioned, this relates to the amount of energy required to digest, absorb and store food.
