Last year at my leanest โ†’ Today at 18 weeks pregnant ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿป

If you were to ask me which body I feel most confident in, I can honestly say, hand on my heartโ€ฆ

My body today ๐Ÿ˜

Iโ€™ve been in the fitness industry for nearly 20 years and Iโ€™ve never been more proud or confident in my body.

Going through IVF was one of the hardest things weโ€™ve ever been through. There were times I didnโ€™t recognise myself or my body in the mirror and when I thought about pregnancy I often wondered how I would cope with all the changes.

But it has genuinely been the most magical experience watching my body grow our baby ๐Ÿฅน

Iโ€™m still strength training 3x per week and getting my daily walks in and Iโ€™m so grateful that Iโ€™m able to keep moving.

Massive thank you to my coach for adapting my training, keeping me moving and keeping me safe throughout this journey so far.

The female body is incredible, and I feel so grateful and blessed that we finally get to experience this journey ๐Ÿคโœจ

thereโ€™s a good chance youโ€™ll still be saying the same thing this time next year.

Still busy.โ€จStill putting yourself last.โ€จStill thinking โ€œIโ€™ll start when life calms down.โ€

That was Laurette 18 months ago,

When we first spoke, she told us she didnโ€™t really recognise the person looking back at her in the mirror anymore.

Laurette works long, tiring shifts and life always felt busy.

Losing weight?

That was something she thought sheโ€™d start when the time was right.
โ€จWhen work was quieter.โ€จWhen life slowed down.

But the truth is that time rarely appears.

So instead of waiting for everything to line up perfectly, Laurette just started.

Small habits.โ€จSmall changes.โ€จSmall wins that slowly started to build.

Things that actually worked around her shifts and routine

And over time those small changes started to add up.

Fast forward to now

Laurette has lost 85cm in body measurements and 23lbs.

But more importantly:
โœ… We built a routine that fits around her lifeโ€จโœ… She learnt how to fuel her body properlyโ€จโœ… We worked through some of the beliefs that had been holding her backโ€จโœ… And she now understands nutrition, rather than cutting out everything she enjoys

The biggest shift though?

She now makes time for herself, even with a busy job.

Her relationship with food has improved and sheโ€™s no longer stuck in the dieting cycle.

Now sheโ€™s focusing on getting stronger in the gym.

All because she stopped waiting for the โ€œright timeโ€ and started with small steps.

When life is busy, most women try to change everything at once.

A stricter diet.
More workouts.
Perfect everything.

And it lasts about two weeks.

The real shift happens when you simplify things and become aware of the moments that usually throws you off.

For most women itโ€™s when stress peaks, the day feels overwhelming or decision fatigue kicks in.

Meet Anne-Marie, one of our newest members of DOC

And someone with a lot of history when it comes to dieting.

Anne-Marie was actually a previous slimming club rep and sheโ€™s not afraid to say that those types of clubs can completely wreck your relationship with food and yourself.

After joining our Group PT team in January, Anne-Marie decided to take things a step further and signed up for our February Reset online coaching programme.

Safe to say, she absolutely smashed it.

During the Reset alone, Anne-Marie dropped 31cm in body measurements and started working on something even bigger - learning not to fixate on the number on the scale.

Sheโ€™s now eating more than she ever has and seeing the benefits of actually fuelling her body properly instead of depriving it - No more see through bread and wafer thin ham

She also did something that used to feel impossible she joined the gym after years of being scared to walk through the doors.

And maybe the biggest change of all, she no longer โ€œstarts again every Mondayโ€.

Anne-Marie has had trips away during our time working together and has still continued to make progress because this time itโ€™s not about being perfect, itโ€™s about building something that actually lasts.

After the progress she made in February, Anne-Marie has now decided to continue her journey with us as a 1:1 client and we are buzzing to keep working with her.

Inside coaching we help our clients learn how to manage their intake independently by giving them clear nutritional targets, showing them how to structure meals across the day and supporting them through weekly check-ins.

You say you want freedom from dieting..

But youโ€™re still trying to survive on โ€˜light lunches.โ€™

Letโ€™s talk about what happens if nothing changes.

If you keep under-eating all dayโ€ฆ
Hereโ€™s what youโ€™re signing up for ๐Ÿ‘‡

Youโ€™ll keep;

โ€“ Thinking about food 24/7
โ€“ Starving until 4pm
โ€“ Raiding the cupboards out of nowhere
โ€“ Feeling out of control in the evenings
โ€“ Promising yourself youโ€™ll be better tomorrow

And the worst part?
Youโ€™ll keep believing YOUโ€™RE the problem.

When in reality..
Your body is just trying to survive the restriction.

Under-eating doesnโ€™t make you disciplined.
It makes you reactive.

It keeps you stuck in that cycle of

Restrict > Crave > Overeat > Guilt > Repeat
And every time you repeat that cycle, your confidence takes another hit.

You donโ€™t build freedom from dieting by eating less.
You build it by eating enough.

The longer you avoid fixing the real problem

The longer you stay stuck with

โ€“ Mood swings
โ€“ Constant obsession around food

Nothing changes

This post is for you!

Most women we speak to arenโ€™t overeating.

Theyโ€™re under-eating all day
Trying to be โ€œgoodโ€
Trying to be disciplined
Trying to keep portions small

And then blaming themselves when

โ€“ Theyโ€™re starving by 4pm
โ€“ They inhale the kidsโ€™ snacks
โ€“ They canโ€™t stop thinking about food
โ€“ Evenings feel chaotic

Diet culture has taught us that

Small = success
Hungry = productive
Light lunches = progress

So when a balanced, satisfying plate shows up, it just feels wrong.

Not because it is.
But because it challenges everything you were taught.

You donโ€™t have a willpower problem.
You have a belief problem.
