Something that often comes up in the counselling space. Our ‘younger self!’ What interesting and challenging discussions can be had on this topic and how going back to our ‘younger self’ can change the way we see things as an adult! Have you ever thought about this before? Often we are so busy ‘adulting’ we forget that there is still a ‘younger self’ part that crops up in how we feel about certain things/events/people. There’s real honour and pleasure and sometimes ALOT of emotion connecting with that ‘younger self’ in the counselling space! Perhaps something to ponder on over the weekend…….

What does counselling feel like? Many of my clients have said it feels like a partnership: having someone to walk alongside in difficult times can be life challenging and changing! Having someone to acknowledge how you feel, reflect, guide and hold that space for you is what the counselling relationship is all about.
Maybe it’s time for you to give yourself some time? Imagine an hour a week just totally focused on you? I would say you’re worth it!

How was your weekend? Just wanted to say a wee thank you to all of those who are supporting me right now! It’s a new adventure and can be challenging moving totally in to private practice work and I’ve been blown away with the support of others including friends and strangers! Every time I get a ‘like’ or comment on a post helps me feel grateful and happy about my new ventures! I have availability in ICPC Kintore as of next Monday (3rd) November between 1 and 7pm and some available sessions in evenings and a Friday morning from the listening shed. Feeling grateful for family and time with good friends the past couple of days. I’m now on a wee break- time to rest and recharge! It’s been a really busy and at times stressful few months since I decided to go into full time private practice. I’ve had to really push myself out of my comfort zone! Looking forward to some relaxation time and also looking forward to the next chapter of an ever changing book! I will be back on Monday 27th October and will reply to any messages or enquiries then.
