It’s the moment that so many of you have been waiting for! 🔥….the booking system for has REOPENED! 🔥

I have spent the winter fielding emails from potential guests, eager to book now that can stop! 😅

For the moment is still not actually operating. However, you can book.

Bookings for now a Approved Sauna, are open for 14th March and beyond.

We closed as one of the features that makes such a pleasure to enjoy, also makes it vulnerable to storms and big waves 🌊

is right on the shoreline. It has breathtaking views of The Isle of May.

I have sat, in with guests and watched the most incredible sun rises and sunsets
💛🧡❤️

We have also watched several pods of dolphins swim past, seals and gorgeous little redshanks and other wading birds, dipping about in the rock pools, on front of the sauna 🐬 🦭 🐦

The sauna itself, like all .seaside.saunas is made by Jamie Maclean one of the now famous who spent much of last year rowing The Pacific Ocean 🛶

Made of beautiful quality mid-Alder, it not only offers stunning views, but also a stunning interior that glows, reflecting the light of sunrises and sunsets 🔥

is bookable for 6 individual seats. If you wish to book the whole sauna, please book all 6 seats and feel welcome to bring an extra person, as the sauna technically seats 7. Though we limit bookings to 6, so that all our guests have plenty of personal space.

has been away on a wee holiday, to avoid the winter storms that Cellardyke is so well known for, but will be back in mid-March, ready for the Easter holidays! 🥳

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR OPENING TIMES ✨ 🔥

This year as well as operating Shore, our large shared sauna, where you can book individual seats, and Dune, The Original Elie Seaside Sauna, which is available for PRIVATE HIRE ONLY, we will be operating 🔥🔥🔥

What that means is that, over Christmas & New Year, we will be operating 3 saunas on Elie Harbour!!! So, if you cannot find the time that you are looking for, in Dune, you can go to the website and book a similar time 🔥

What that means is, if you have left it to the last minute to book we can offer you some last minute availability in 🥳

If you are looking for an individual seat, you can also book on East Sands, St. Andrews 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

If your group is larger than 6 people, both Shore Sauna and on East Sands can be booked privately, by booking all the seats in the sauna.
…and, if you can’t get through Christmas Day without a sauna is open 8.00am - 11.00am Christmas Day and 8.00am - 10.00am, on Boxing Day and Dune Sauna is open Boxing Day!

Lovely to hostEmma O’Kellyy last weekend and talk about her sauna journey and thoughts on the future of sauna internationally. Apparently the youth of Japan are leading the way….

Perhaps, in a world where such people are immersed in technology and have such limited personal space, in their own homes, such wonderful third spaces, where technology cannot permeate are more precious and have more value, as a place of sharing and community than ever before…

The sun is setting noticeably earlier and we have a full moon on Saturday, so is staying open later, so that you can squeeze the last little be of light out of your summer’s day, swim in sit in and watch the moon rise 🌖

Cellardyke Tidal Pool is a magical place author of The Tidal Year, listed it as one of her 7 top places to swim wild, in The UK. 🌊

We have magical sunrises and sunsets. Being right on the shoreline, it is the perfect place to connect with nature. 🐬

In a few weeks’ time The May Isle will become a nursery for baby seals and you will be able sit in the sauna and watch seals in the waves. This summer, I have sat in the sauna, with guests and watch dolphins swim past and I love watching the wading birds, in the rock pools. 🦭
