One of our recent projects was to replace a control panel in a swimming which was a fire hazard but also as part of that project we upgraded the bems controls to optimise the control and energy efficiency. The following was done main pool pumps where replaced (3 x 7.5Kw), learners pool pumps where replaced (2 x 11Kw) All had Variable speed drives added to them so the speed of the pumps could be controlled.

Previously the main pool required 2 pumps to run at full speed (50Hz) to achieve the desired flow rates required for the pool But, with the new pumps installed only ONE pump is required and it is running at a speed of 85% (42.5Hz). The savings for this pool will be a reduction in the electricity cost of around 75%!!! or a savings of around €13,000.

The learner pool will have savings of around 50%

A new front end management system was installed which replaced the obsolete management system (Siemens desigo version 6) that was their the new management system boast of feature like real time values, animated graphics, alarm handler, trend view, time scheduler and more.

The old web browser that was installed has since been upgraded to version 6 which allows for remote access, static graphics, alarm handler, trend viewer, time schedules and more.

The front end management system will send out alarms if any plant fails or is not performing.

All this work was carried out while the leisure center was open with NO DOWN time.

A recent primary school upgraded we have completed. A new control panel was installed with a new HMI Keypad for the end user to be able to change set points etc.

The primary school has weather compensation which will automatically adjust the temperature to the radiators depending on external and internal conditions. With this type of strategy being used there is potential of savings up to 20% on heating costs.

HMI (human machine interface) keypad allows the users to change set points, time schedules, view status, live values and alarms.

Here is another project we completed in august. We installed a bems system with full web access and graphics. It controls the ventilation in kitchen and the domestic hot water for the kitchen.
