My 50th birthday weekend has arrived. My friends and family are spoiling me with lots of lovely things and activities but I’ve made sure to factor in time for lots of Christmas movie viewing. The cheesy romcom Christmas movies make me feel comforted, warm and fuzzy. Disappearing into the world where everyone eats Christmas cookies and stays slim, the snow is white and beautiful but nobody has frizzy damp hair and the pavements are clear, the family business always gets saved at the last minute and childhood sweethearts are still stunning, single, successful and have been waiting for their first love to return to the small town they grew up in! It’s escapism and far fetched and I love it. Thankful to Hallmark and all the other Christmas movie makers for bringing me joy 🎄 🎅🏻 🎥

There are some profound things I am grateful for and then there are those things that just give you that moment of pleasure… that lift and fill you with yummy happiness. I am thankful for having some delicious craft dark chocolate in my cupboard today to reach for as a little special moment of pleasure as it melted in my mouth. 🍫 I savoured every bite and it was gorgeous

So this morning I was reminiscing about old songs I used to sing in school and it made me feel nostalgic and warm and fuzzy inside when I think about my childhood. I am grateful I had a wonderful happy childhood. I feel so lucky to have been born in the 70s, grown up in the 80s and misbehaved in the 90s! Thank you for all my childhood memories today

Day 43 of my 50 days to 50 gratitude daily posts! Today I am grateful to all the lovely folk who came to my Breathwork session last night. Thank you for taking time out ‘for you’ to relax, unwind and breathe. .one.breathwork lead us all in a wonderful Breathwork session that I know was transformative for some of you. Thank you for coming and supporting something I organised and for allowing yourself time to breathe. It’s inspired me to get these books out and reread them. Functional breathing is a wellbeing gamechanger

50 days to 50
Today I am grateful for my Maggie May. She’s brave and kind and clever and the best snuggle bum ever! Last week she protected mums little dog from a bird of prey and despite being 13, deaf and a bit blind she looks after her humans and her special doggy friends. We didn’t rescue Maggie… she rescued us. I am grateful she came into our lives and today I appreciate every furry fibre of her being.

I looked out my window at the garden this morning and the skies were grey and the leaves brown and the plants dying off….. but a beautiful glimmer of light stood out amongst the gloomy scene… a beautiful white rose. On its own shining a glimmer of light. A reminder to look for the glimmers of light amongst the gloomy backdrop. Today I am grateful for glimmers and for that lovely rose that served as a reminder for me today. Look out for glimmers today everyone. Day 34 of 50 days to 50!

Today I am grateful to be surrounded by fabulous friends who love and support me. My friend came round last night and brought dinner and flowers. (She’s knows me so well and knew that I’d love these flowers as they match my kitchen😆) I’m so blessed to have lots of wonderful friends in my life.
