There are 63 days left of 2025.
What will you do with them?

Maybe you’re not feeling great?
Perhaps you’ve noticed you’re a bit more irritable than you used to be?
Can’t keep your weight in check?
More aches and pains?

Do you think your hormones could be responsible?

If you are nodding along to this then why not spend half a day with us at our women’s health event on 15th November to see what you can do to understand your hormone health and what steps you can take to make change to improve things now and for your future health.

Happy World Menopause Day!

In this reel I try to explain why world menopause day is still relevant and why it’s important that we continue to raise our voices and awareness about the impact the perimenopause and menopause can have on women. But it’s not just the woman that goes through this.

Poorly managed menopause symptoms affect home life, family life, relationships, workplaces and wider society.
We know that women are the glue that holds the fabric of society together.

Working in the area of menopause care, I hear stories every day of women who feel they are going mad, who have been fobbed off by their own GPs, who feel life isn’t worth living and who want to give up on their careers and marriages.

Let’s keep the conversations flowing this world menopause day. You just might start the ripple which becomes a wave@which changes someone’s life.

World menopause day 2025 theme is lifestyle medicine.

The pillar I wanted to focus on today is Sleep. Restorative sleep is so important to our emotional and physical wellbeing.

HRT can really help improve sleep but sleep hygiene is never not important.

The international menopause society have produced a super helpful factsheet about restorative sleep in menopause.

Today I’m focussing on Healthy relationships and the importance of strong social connections for healthy ageing.
Healthy relationships includes those closest to us at home, but also our colleagues and friends. If you haven’t yet found your tribe, why not try a new hobby or pick up something you used to love.

The international menopause society have produced a factsheet to support each of the pillars of lifestyle medicine. Here is the one on health relationships.

As the days are getting shorter and colder, I find myself resisting the creep towards winter and I am trying to cling on to summer memories.

Getting out and about early in the morning has always been a positive step for my mental health, and a way of getting my steps in with the crazy Spaniel!

This morning I realised that clinging on to the past sometimes mean you miss the present.
Look at this..
Two photos from the same spot- a glorious moon and a beautiful sunrise.

What do you do to remind yourself to be present as we approach the darker days of autumn and winter?
