Today we celebrate the incredible mothers who make our communities so special. To the amazing mums within our local communities, the dedicated mothers who are part of our Connaught Care team, and the wonderful residents who have spent a lifetime nurturing and caring for others, today is for you.

Your strength, kindness and unconditional love inspire us every day. Whether you are caring for your family, supporting others through your work, or sharing your wisdom and stories with us, your impact is truly priceless. The care you show each and every day informs us the kind of empathy, attention and dedication we must show and put into practice in what we do in every home, every day.

We are absolutely delighted to share that Connaught Care Collection has won Care Home Employer of the Year at the Great British Care Awards National Final!

The judges said:

The organisation fosters a supportive, inclusive culture, offering a wide range of benefits and recognition initiatives that prioritise employee experience, engagement and professional development. Their forward-thinking approach highlights a genuine dedication to supporting staff while continuously embracing innovation. A very deserving National Winner."
To receive recognition like this on a national stage is incredibly special.

But what makes this even more meaningful is that this award truly belongs to our people.
To the carers holding hands in quiet moments.
To our hair & beauty teams helping residents feel like themselves.
To receptionists who greet every visitor with warmth.
To our PTs and physios rebuilding strength and confidence.
To housekeepers who create spaces that feel clean, safe, and homely.
To chefs and hospitality teams who turn meals into moments.
To maintenance teams who keep everything running seamlessly.
To administrators who keep the engine turning behind the scenes.
To activities teams who bring laughter and life into every day.
And to the managers who lead with heart and high standards.
When we look after our team, they look after our residents. And that’s what truly matters.

We want to show our gratitude to the crew from St Neots Fire Station part of Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service for taking the time to visit Connaught Care - Henbrook House Care Home! 🚒✨ It was a pleasure to have you tour our extraordinary building and get to know our community better.

We are excited to invite the chaps back again soon for our upcoming Blue Light Breakfast! 🥞💙 We can’t wait to share a bacon roll and get to know the officers even more.
