Message of Solidarity and Call to Action
From the Officer in Charge, Kalinga Filipino Organisation
To our beloved friends, families, and communities in the Philippines—especially in the Province of Cebu:
We stand with you in this hour of grief, resilience, and rebuilding. Typhoon Tino has left behind a trail of devastation that words can scarcely capture. Lives have been lost, homes shattered, and livelihoods swept away. But in the face of this tragedy, we affirm our deepest solidarity and unwavering support.
Let it be known: this is not merely a natural disaster. It is a human one—amplified by corruption, greed, and the reckless abuse of our environment. The suffering we witness today is the bitter fruit of systems that have failed to protect the people and the land we hold sacred.
We call on every Filipino—here and abroad—to rise with compassion and conviction. Let us care for one another, not only in relief but in justice. Let us demand accountability from those in power who have neglected their duty to safeguard our communities. Let us reject the silence that enables impunity.
To our leaders: the time for empty promises is over. We demand transparency, integrity, and urgent action. To our fellow citizens: let us be responsible stewards of nature, protectors of each other, and builders of a future rooted in truth and care.
Cebu, you are not alone. We see your pain. We honor your courage. And we commit ourselves to walk with you—not just in mourning, but in rebuilding, healing, and rising again.
With faith, fire, and fierce love,
Randolph Alburo, RN, MAN
Officer in Charge
