Loved this quote when I saw it, it’s so true. Running my first ultra in May this year was definitely the most painful thing I had every done.

It taught me though that if I can fight through the pain, the thoughts of I what to quit and give up then anything is possible.

Pain is a temporary feeling, it is there to let us know we are going beyond our perceived boundaries, we are stepping out of our comfort zone and into the unknown.

Once you have done it, that feeling of relief, of excitement, of joy makes you want to do it again. Then when you do it again that pain comes back but maybe a little further this time, each and every time it gets easier.

Nothing worth having comes easy, so if you want more from life, to feel that feeling of fulfilment and purpose then you will have to embrace the pain, embrace the uncomfortable.

Let me know what scares you, let me know know your wins. Now let’s do this together…. Let’s get this life, let’s go!! 💪🔥

Do the things you love, and don’t let anyone tell you it’s not possible or you can’t do it. That goes for yourself too!

It’s very easy to listen to other person opinions about things and even more often that self talk. Which we allow to stop us from actually doing something that we want to do.

I was a big one for it and I still fall in the trap of negative self talk for sure. No one is perfect 😉

2 years ago I always told myself I was not a runner, but then one day my wife dragged me out and I haven’t looked back since. Now having run 2 marathons, 1 50k Ultra Marathon and last month running 200km over the month I think I have to now call myself a runner. Most importantly I love it ❤️🏃‍♂️

However, I still get lots of people give me opinions on oh you shouldn’t run that much, oh it bad for your knees, oh don’t you get injuries. Sometimes it’s hard not to listen, but remember people’s opinions are just that, their opinions. They don’t know your body, your mind, your goals.

So my advice to you is, go out, do the things you love and the things that make you happy. Life is short, and we only have one so make it your best life💪🙏🏻❤️
