I have received this little therapeutic magnet from LaBalance.life to try out.

This two piece magnet has shown to help with many symptoms associated with PMT and menopause.

Magnet therapy has been used for thousands of years by many cultures and it is thought that it restores equilibrium to the autonomic nervous system so minimises the various symptoms.

I am currently on day 2 so it's early days, I will be keeping a record of each day so will keep you updated to how this goes!

Increasing oestrogen levels naturally can also be done through dietary choices.

Phytoestrogens are plant based compounds have a similar chemical structure to oestrogen and may mimic its hormonal actions. Foods that are high in phytoestrogens include soybeans, flaxseeds, chickpeas and lentils.

A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can also regulate hormone levels and overall health.

Try this easy quinoa pancake recipe which is also vegan and gluten free.

360ml almond milk

Managing stress is really important throughout our lifetime but even more so during perimenopause and menopause. High stress levels can disrupt hormonal balance so practicing stress-reduction techniques like meditation, yoga or deep breathing is highly recommended.

Sometimes, we may make excuses not to try or practice these tools so I'd like to suggest a free app called Insight Timer which has made it much easier for myself to partake in this kind of mindfulness.

There are lots of guided meditations and you can narrow down to your choice how long you would like to practice, from 5 minutes up to 30+ minutes. There are even live yoga classes that you can join at all times of the day to suit you.

Struggle to get to sleep or stay asleep at night?

Try this easy, natural drink!

Add 2 banana skins to a pan of hot water and boil for 5 minutes. Strain the water into a mug and enjoy a cup of banana tea in the evening for a well rested night of sleep! If you don't want to eat a banana or two then you can cut them up and freeze for making a smoothie at a later date.

How does this work?

Bananas contain:
Magnesium - maintains human sleep cycles and vital for many bodily functions
Potassium - an electrolyte that research has shown if not enough is consumed then especially women can suffer with poor sleep quality
Tryptophan - an amino acid that is used to regulate sleep
