If your personal life feels heavy right now, or if the world feels too dark, just remember that in order to understand the feelings of joy, love, happiness, compassion, kindness and LIGHT - we first have to have experienced the DARK.

The Law of Opposites is a natural rhythm of the human experience, full of high swings and low swings, happiness and sadness, fear and faith.

Resisting the darkness can often keep us stuck in it - preventing the light from breaking through.

Instead, accept the darkness, momentarily; appreciate its lesson, move through it with awareness, and intentionally allow it to pass. Because it will. The light WILL come.

So breathe and remember, we NEED the darkness.

Because it was the first dry day in 72 years ๐Ÿ™„ I took myself to the coast.

I dropped into conscious thinking, intentional movement, connected experiences, and rhythmical creation through different vibrational energies. Cut through the jargon and FEEL what that means. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I disconnected from the matrix of the distracted life, and focused on my chosen path forward for Nikki Nev Therapy.

There won't be drastic changes: I'm not pivoting from RTT, Hypnotherapy and group stress sessions to become a beauty therapist! ๐Ÿ˜… But there WILL be gentle shifts. Gentle but important.

Moving on from my last couple of posts ...

The world is changing. Of course it ALWAYS changes, but perhaps it's the speed and volume of the change that is making us humans really feel it.

We naturally cling to what we value and don't want to lose. And equally, we resist the things we donโ€™t want to happen. Both clinging and resisting are based in fear. And that fear shows up as a form of protection.

But desperately clinging and resisting keeps us stuck. Stuck in discomfort, with a perceived loss of control. In this space, we lose our ability to not only be content, but also to create.

As humans, our purpose is to create. If we're not creating, we're disintegrating.

To realign, we need to find acceptance in the situation and peace within ourselves.

But acceptance doesn't mean withdrawal and isolation from the world. It doesn't mean giving up. Instead, we need to redirect the energy of fear towards remembering the immense power we have within ourselves; within our minds, bodies, and souls. And awaken it.

Acceleration of this power and creation comes from connection.

Community is our secret weapon.

Humans don't thrive in isolation. We are a species that thrive, and survive, in groups.

However, modern ways nudge us, one gentle nudge at a time, to become more isolated. With isolation, our power, or belief of power, gets stripped away.

Many are feeling it now.

Part of my passion and purpose in this human experience is to help women and children transform out of personal stress with RTT and to fill their cup with overflowing confidence, but also to encourage community connection, so we can ALL awaken our power and nurture it.

However, it can be hard to know where to start. And that's where I want to help. Providing opportunities for our innate creation, health and happiness to expand beyond the mental chains we've reluctantly or unknowingly opposed on ourselves, is a purpose that lights me up.

We are made for more.

It's time to cleanse and get back to basics. Because we've forgotten the value and power in it.

I havenโ€™t posted in a long time and I want to be honest about why.

I went quiet because I have not only been very busy with clients and going through a lot of positive changes in my life, but I have also been struggling.

I found emotions quickly intensifing over the last few months. The world felt heavy, my mind was messy, and my heart was tight.

I froze.

I didnโ€™t intend to retreat, but the more I tried to force myself to show up in the world, especially online, the more every cell in my body pushed back. I felt disconnected and out of place, like a square peg in a round hole.

Iโ€™m deeply passionate about supporting women with stress, mental overwhelm, and physical illness, but over the last few months that passion felt somewhat lost in the weight of everything else happening in the world. Showing up as if nothing was happening felt wrong and ignoring the elephant in the room felt impossible. By showing up, I either felt insensitive, or a fraud.

How could I just ignore the global issues that were legitimately causing so much stress to society? To you? And how could I guide others through stress and anxiety when I was feeling crippled by my own fears about a rapidly changing world? That didnโ€™t feel like integrity.

So I paused. Personally and professionally.

I took time to peel off the layers, go down rabbit holes, and try to understand the world's current chaos. Of course we will never know the truth behind all the layers, but I needed something to unravel, something to click, and something to hang on to. I'm human.

As time passed, I sought clarity and direction. I tried to rush through this process, but I was unable to. I found myself (somewhat reluctantly) taking my own advice. I surrendered into the process and allowed it to take as long as it needed.

I sat with it. Trusting that when the low swing hit the bottom, then I'd start moving towards the next upswing. It's inevitable. Itโ€™s science. So, I sat, I thought, I researched, I cried, I resisted, I clinged, I acknowledge the emotions, I recognised the challenges, I remembered my purpose, I reignited my passions, and I slowly moved towards acceptance and a future outlook.

Iโ€™d be lying if I said I had it all figured out. I don't. I'm human and therefore a constant work in progress. But, I do have a clearer mind and lighter heart. I have a more aligned vision and path forward. That also means I'm making a little shift with this page. Itโ€™s good to pivot if it means we're happier. Itโ€™s time to trust my intuition and be brave.

For now, my message to you is simple:

Find peace.

Peace in the moment.
Peace in your mind.
Peace in your heart.

Peace comes first. Clarity grows from there.

And from that clarity we can connect in a more grounded and supportive way. I'll be there to help you move through the days and weeks, as well as providing deep transformational therapy for issues that may be holding you back from enjoying life.

You are allowed to go slowly, because healing begins with gentleness. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’—

๐ŸŒ• Happy Full Moon! ๐ŸŒ•

Another opportunity to sit and 'be'. To consider how you're doing: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. An opportunity to recognise what's weighing you down or holding you back. And therefore, an invitation to acknowledge what you want in life. Who you want to be surrounded by in life. And what you want to experience and achieve in life.

And it's another opportunity to consciously and intentionally give yourself permission to let go of the s**t that's putting stumbling blocks in your way.

Your path in life will never be clear and smooth, so why not use nature's gift of a full moon to take time to recalibrate every month.

Committing some time to doing this just once a month can be hugely beneficial and can help keep stress and anxiety lower than it may otherwise be.

I found myself retreating.
The world is heavy.
My mind is messy.
My heart is tight.
My energy low.

I needed to sit in the liminal space, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, to allow the fragmented feelings to dissolve and the new to emerge; not by force, but through presence, patience, and trust in the unseen unfolding.

Allowing myself a full week to unravel in nature has enabled me to recentre myself and reconnect with the quiet, but powerful, wisdom within.

And onwards....

The Four Pillars of Abundance

A hub of happiness!

Hi, I'm Nikki McMillen, a local Bangor girl born and bred, and I am the energy behind the creation of Nikki Nev Coaching.

I am pulling together 25 years of knowledge, experience and qualifications, in a wide range of health and fitness services. (That makes me feel a bit old actually, lol).

I believe the four key aspects to a fabulous life are Movement, Mindset, Health and Happiness.
