π₯ Breakfast and Belonging Session Report βπΆ
It was wonderful to see so many happy faces at todayβs Breakfast and Belonging session β our final session of the year π. The room was full of warmth and positivity as we came together to chat, laugh, and share our exciting plans for Christmas πβ¨.
Members enjoyed a delicious breakfast spread, including croissants, toast, mince pies, and pain au chocolat π₯π, all washed down with tea, coffee, and hot chocolate βπ«. The food, combined with great company, created the perfect start to the day.
We were delighted to be joined by Joe Powell, Chief Executive of All Wales People First, who came along for a final catch-up for 2025 π€. We were also joined by Amy and Leanne from the Caerphilly Parent Network, Zoe and Cheryl our volunteers and Peter, the caretaker from Fleur-de-Lys Community Centre, who helps things run smoothly at our Reconnect through Music and Reconnect through Cookery sessions. It was great to spend time together and reflect on the year.
During the session, everyone had fun playing a range of board games, including draughts, snakes and ladders, and Connect 4 π²βοΈ, while festive Christmas music played in the background πΆπ
. Members also took part in a Christmas quiz, which was won by Samantha and Morgan, who correctly answered 16/17 questions - well done guys! The session ended on a real high note with a mini karaoke session π€π, where Paula and Chris treated us to some favourite tunes by ABBA, Rick Astley, Neil Diamond, and The Righteous Brothers. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and sing-along moments to finish the morning on a joyful note ππ΅.
A big thank you to everyone who attended any of the six Breakfast and Belonging sessions β€οΈ. They have been a fantastic way to start the day β bringing people together through conversation, good food, fun activities, and a real sense of belonging π€β¨.
