Senquility Body Therapy

Senquility Body Therapy Lymphatic Drainage Specialist supporting people who feel heavy, tense, or overwhelmed in their bodies.

I share calm, grounded insights about stress and the lymphatic system, especially for bodies that feel misunderstood.

A simple one for today…

If your legs feel heavy or a bit “full”, one of the best things you can do is just… move.

Nothing intense.

Even splitting it into two shorter walks can make a difference.
10–15 minutes in the morning.
Another 10–15 later in the day.

The lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump, it relies on movement.

So it’s often the small, regular things that help the most.

Not perfect.
Just consistent.
Little and often ⭐

Doing more isn’t always the answer ⭐

Something I see a lot…

When bodies feel heavy or uncomfortable, the instinct is to do more.

More exercise.
Push a bit harder.
Try and shift it.

But it doesn’t always work like that.

Sometimes it just makes things feel worse.

A lot of the time, the body doesn’t need more force.

It just needs the right kind of support.

A bit of movement.
A bit of consistency.
Letting things settle instead of pushing through.

That’s why gentler treatments like manual lymphatic drainage can make such a difference.

If this sounds familiar, it might be time to try something different

"I’m not getting any support."

This comes up more than it should.

Not just at diagnosis,
but afterwards.

When people are left trying to figure things out on their own.

Trying different things
Second guessing what helps
Managing day to day without clear guidance

And when Lipoedema and lymphoedema are both involved, that can feel even more overwhelming.

Because it’s not just about treatment.

👉 It’s about daily support.

Simple, consistent things that actually help the body,
without overcomplicating it.

This is the gap I keep seeing.

And it’s what I’m starting to build something around.

If you’re navigating this, what’s been the hardest part to manage day to day?

🌿 Following on from yesterday…

Even though lipoedema and lymphoedema are different, the way they feel can be quite similar.

Heavy.
Full.
Uncomfortable.

That’s often what people notice first.

Not the name.
Not the diagnosis.

Just that their body doesn’t feel right.

And this is where support matters.

Manual lymphatic drainage works by helping the body move fluid and settle the system, which can make a real difference to that feeling of heaviness and pressure.

It’s not about changing your body.

It’s about helping your body feel more comfortable in itself.

Different reasons, same heaviness — that’s where MLD comes in ⭐

The clue is in the name…

Lipo-edema
→ Lipo = fat
→ Edema = swelling

Lymph-oedema
→ Lymph = fluid
→ Oedema = swelling

They might sound similar, but they’re not the same thing.

One is primarily related to fat tissue, the other to fluid.

And that difference matters, because how the body feels, and how it’s supported, can be very different too.

It’s also possible to have both together, where lymphoedema develops alongside lipoedema.

That’s often where things can feel more complex.

I’ll be sharing more on this soon, as it’s something that causes a lot of confusion.

📅 A little update as we head into May…

I still have some availability over the next few weeks and I’m also taking bookings for June. I’ll be taking the last week of May off, so appointments around then are more limited.

If you’ve been thinking about booking, this is a gentle nudge to plan ahead ⭐

💚 Why is MLD important for lipoedema?

It’s something I get asked a lot.

MLD doesn’t “fix” Lipoedema.

But it can make a real difference to how your body feels day to day.

With Lipoedema, there’s often a build-up of fluid alongside the fat tissue.

That’s where things can start to feel:

Heavy.
Tight.
Uncomfortable.

Manual lymphatic drainage works by gently supporting the lymphatic system, helping that fluid move and easing some of that pressure.

For many people, that means:

• legs feel lighter
• less tenderness
• more comfort in their body
• things feel a bit easier to manage

It’s not about changing your body.

It’s about helping you feel better in it.

🌿 Following on from yesterday…

One of the biggest things I hear from women with lipoedema is:

“I don’t know where to start.”

There’s so much information out there.

Different advice. Different opinions. Different approaches.

It can feel overwhelming very quickly.

So most people either:
Do everything… or do nothing.

And neither really helps.

What tends to work best is starting small.

A bit of movement.
A bit of understanding.
A few things that support your body day to day.

Not perfect. Just consistent.

That’s where things start to feel a bit more manageable.

I’d love your input on this ⭐

I’ve been seeing more and more women with lipoedema lately — diagnosed, undiagnosed, or just unsure.

And it’s made me realise how many people are trying to figure it out on their own.

So I’m starting to put something together…

Something simple that helps you understand what might be going on, and what your next steps could look like — with practical tools and guidance.

But I want it to be genuinely helpful.

Not overwhelming. Not clinical. Not full of things that don’t fit real life.

So I’d love to know…

If you’re dealing with (or suspect) lipoedema — what do you find hardest?

Is it:
• knowing where to start?
• feeling dismissed?
• managing symptoms day to day?
• knowing what actually helps?

Or something else?

You can comment or message me — I read everything.

⭐ A gentle nudge if you’ve been thinking about booking ⭐

A little update as we head into May…

I’m starting to get quite booked up now, and I’m already taking bookings for June.

I’ll also be taking the last week of May off, so availability around then is more limited.

A lot of people wait until their body feels really uncomfortable before booking in.

But often it’s easier (and more helpful) to come in before things build up too much.

When things are just starting to feel a bit heavy, tense, or unsettled.

Just a gentle nudge if you’ve been thinking about it.

💚 Something I’m seeing more and more at the moment…

Women coming in with diagnosed, undiagnosed, or suspected lipoedema.

Some have known for years.
Some have only recently come across it.
And some just have that feeling that something doesn’t quite add up.

Often they’ve been told it’s just weight.
Or that they need to try harder.

But deep down, they know their body feels different.

Heavier.
More tender.
Not responding in the same way as everything else.

Lipoedema is still so misunderstood.

And for a lot of women, just having it recognised and understood makes a huge difference.

From my side, it’s about support.

Helping ease that heaviness and pressure in the body, and giving space for things to settle.

And just as importantly, helping you feel heard.
