Meet your practitioner…
Hello, my name is Amelia and I’m the face behind AML Medical Aesthetics! I’ve been practicing in aesthetics for one year now and have just realised I’ve never properly introduced myself on this page.
I’m a step mother to three wonderful children and mam of two naughty dachshunds who keep me busy! In my free time (of which there’s very little🤣) you’ll find me out walking the fells and in the depths of renovation of our new home…I’m a real home bird and love nothing more than cuddling up on the sofa with my dogs and a good book next to the log burner.
I’m a registered nurse and have a career spanning over 10 years within the NHS, with 8 years working within the Intensive Care Unit. I was lucky enough to receive a promotion in 2022 and have the opportunity to train to be an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (ACCP), a job role very few have heard of. An ACCP is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who’s specialised for the Intensive Care Unit. I completed my MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in January this year, where I completed level 7 modules in clinical examination, consultation/history taking and anatomy & physiology alongside biological sciences. In my day job I perform invasive line insertions so I’m particularly au fait with a needle! The knowledge and skills I have built from my profession are transferable to my aesthetic career, allowing me to provide safe, evidence-based and patient centred treatments to you all! I have a genuine passion for knowledge and being completely honest, I’m a bit of a science/data geek, I love understanding everything down to a cellular level! In addition to this, I’m an Independent Nurse Prescriber, meaning I can prescribe safely for all my clients. I still work full time within my NHS role.
In my first year in aesthetics I have built a solid foundation, completing my foundation botox/dermal filler, polyneucleotides, skin boosters and Microneedling. I believe it’s paramount to build a strong foundation, and master these skills, before training in every service possible. In the upcoming months I have some further training courses booked and will be offering new services to you all!

Have you heard of one of the latest Korean trends PDRN Microneedling? This regenerative, bio-stimulating therapy has gained global popularity for its ability to improve skin health at a cellular level.
What is PDRN? Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) consists of DNA fragments extracted from the s***m cells of salmon trout. They’re used to achieve healthier, more youthful looking skin by improving elasticity, tone and texture, reducing the appearances of scars and wrinkles, enhancing the skins natural barrier.

As usual, I will be trialing the PDRN Microneedling serum and skin booster on myself and friends/family before offering it to my clients, I like to ensure I have confidence in the product!

Have you heard of Alluzience yet?
I’ve had lots of clients in clinic lately opting for Alluzience. Alluzience is still a type A botulinum toxin but results have shown it can last up to 6 months with much quicker onset of action (24 hours). In addition to this, it’s great for those clients who work out a lot and find their toxin wears off quicker than most!
My diary is now open for the remainder of the year but I’m starting to book up pretty quickly, message now to avoid disappointment if you’re wanting a pre-Christmas appointment🎄

This client came to me wanting to add some more projection and definition to her top lip. She’s never had dermal filler before and wanted to achieve a natural look, with 0.5mls we achieved just that!

Busy day in clinic yesterday catching up with lots of lip augmentation appointments now my back is on the mend following a slipped disc! This lovely lady likes a fuller lip and opted for 1ml to achieve that💋 As usual, swelling is evident in this picture and you can expect that to settle.

Just a little update…
Hello everyone, just a little message to say I’m still here despite my silence. Anyone who knows me knows how poor I am with posting on social media.
I’ve been a little busy the last few months, with undertaking 2 house renovations alongside my full time job and my little aesthetic business slowly growing! On that note I recently graduated with my MSc Advanced Clinical Practice, working full time as an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner (advanced nurse practitioner, specialised for the intensive care unit). I work alongside anaesthetists to conduct assessments of the most critically ill patients, formulate plans of care and perform invasive procedures for our patients. In undertaking this masters I’ve completed level 7 modules in non-medical prescribing and clinical examination. This knowledge allows me to provide safe, evidence based and patient-centred treatments to all you lovely lot🥰
We have now started work on converting the garage at the new house into a home clinic for my clients, which I’m hoping should be all finished for Christmas. As usual, if you’re needing any appointments reach out, I’m here☺️
