This is our final shout-out today.

The video we shared yesterday had a really good response, and because of it we’ve had another veteran join us for Christmas dinner tomorrow, which is exactly why we’re doing this.

If you are a veteran, or you know a veteran, who is alone tomorrow and doesn’t want to be, please reach out.

As we come to the end of the day and get ready for our Christmas break we just want to take a moment and say thank you.

To everyone who has stepped into the Hwb supported us believed in us and made this space what it is we are so grateful.

This place would not be possible without you. Every visit every kind word and every bit of support has meant more than you will ever know.

What we have built here is not just four walls it is a community and that is down to every single one of you who continues to show up and support what we do.

From all of us at the Hwb we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Take the time to rest reset and look after yourselves and we cannot wait to welcome you all back after Christmas.

A big thank you to Porthkerry Community Choir for your generous donation towards our Hwb for Heroes Veterans Fundraising Walk.

It honestly means a lot. Support like this shows our veterans that people genuinely care and are willing to get behind what we’re doing. That matters more than you might realise.

Really appreciate you thinking of us and backing the walk, it won’t be forgotten.

Grateful & proud of this one 🧡

Today marked the start of a really positive future collaboration between the Health Hwb and The Masonic Temple, alongside Anthony Cook and the Old Barrians Lodge here in Barry.

We were incredibly grateful to receive a very generous donation towards our Veterans Christmas Dinner. This support will make a real difference, helping us ensure our veterans are welcomed, fed, looked after, and reminded that they are valued, especially at this time of year.

What stood out most wasn’t just the donation itself, but the genuine care, respect and shared values around supporting our local veterans and community. That’s exactly what the Hwb is about people coming together to look after one another.

A huge thank you to Tony Cook and everyone at the Old Barrians Lodge. This feels like the beginning of something really positive, and we’re truly grateful for your support.
