This moment will pass 🌿💙

Bluebells bloom, soften, and fade, just like moments do.

This month in the newsletter, I talked about the DBT skill “Improve the Moment”, finding small ways to gently shift how we experience the present.

A patch of bluebells.
A quiet breeze.
A flicker of calm.

These are the glimmers. The in-between spaces where something softer lives.

Even when things feel heavy, moments can still hold beauty. And when we allow ourselves to pause, we make room to actually feel it.

Let this be your reminder: nothing stays exactly as it is. That includes the hard parts.

Still feeling so grateful after yesterday’s Revive & Thrive Wellbeing Show 💫

It was such a beautiful day connecting with so many lovely people, sharing conversations around mental health, self-care, and overall wellbeing. These spaces really do remind me why I’m so passionate about the work I do 🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, took part, and supported the event.

And of course… congratulations to our raffle winner! 🎁 The Self-Soothe Box is on its way to you and I hope it brings you plenty of relaxation and comfort.

If you missed out but are curious about creating your own self-soothe toolkit, feel free to drop me a message, I’d love to help 🌿

Samba the capybara has taken a little “circuit breaker” 🐾💭

Sometimes stepping away from an environment can give us the space we need to reset, reflect, and gain a fresh perspective. Distance can build resilience so when we return, we’re better equipped to face challenges and use our coping skills 🌿✨

It might be helpful to reflect on times when stepping away has worked for you. What did you notice? What changed? And what might a “circuit breaker” look like in your own life right now? 💡

We’re sending our well wishes to Samba and the Marwell team💛

When the world feels heavy, come back to what’s within your reach 🤍✨

1. Reduce the overwhelm 📱
Your mind wasn’t built to process everything at once.
Limit what you take in:
– Set time boundaries on social media ⏳
– Mute/unfollow accounts that drain you 🚫
– Or choose to follow voices that feel balanced, calm, and real 🌿

2. Control what you can control 🎯
Not everything is yours to carry.
Focus on:
– Your actions
– Your reactions
– Your next small step 👣
Let the rest be… even if just for today 🤍

3. Ground yourself in the present 🌎
When your thoughts spiral, come back to now:
– Name 5 things you can see 👀
– Take slow, steady breaths 🌬️
– Repeat a simple affirmation:
“I am safe in this moment”
“This will pass”✨

You don’t have to solve everything today.
Just steady yourself. One moment at a time 🤍

The Rock says ‘don’t cry’… but let’s be honest, life doesn’t always feel that simple 🥸💙

Sometimes the strongest thing a man can do is let the emotions come, and talk about what’s really going on underneath the surface.

No one should feel like they have to fight their battles alone. Huge gratitude to supportive men’s charities like Andy’s Man Club in Alton, Tough Enough To Care in Basingstoke & CALM webchat for giving men a safe, judgement-free space to open up, feel heard, and find support right when they need it most. Please reach out if you need support.

Your feelings matter. Your story matters. You matter.

💬 “You can trust me… we’ve come this far”

When we start using behavioural experiments in CBT, it can feel a little scary.
We’re not just talking about thoughts anymore, we’re testing them in real life.
And that takes courage… and a bit of trust. 🤝

Trust in yourself, that you can handle whatever happens.
And trust in your therapist, that you’re not being thrown in the deep end, but guided through something designed to help you learn, not fail.

💡 Behavioural experiments aren’t about proving yourself wrong — they’re about discovering what’s true.
What really happens when you do the thing your mind says you can’t?
What if the outcome surprises you?
✨ You’ve already come this far 🌱

📩 DM to book a free 15-minute consultation and see if therapy could be a good fit.
