We meet on Tuesdays at 6.15pm at Hedley Hall in Bath (Twerton / Oldfield Park area). We have free parking and beginners are welcome!

Warrior poses are dynamic postures that make us feel fearless and powerful, graceful and elegant, tranquil and alert, humble and patient – all at the same time! Each warrior posture has its own specific quality that help us move forward in our individual yoga journeys.

The throat chakra, or Vishuddha in Sanskrit, has to do with our ability to communicate and express ourselves clearly. A chakra healing yoga and meditation session can also help to heal any thyroid gland and endocrine issues.

WHAT IS THE SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA?

Come experience a chakra themed yoga flow tomorrow Thursday 19 March at 6pm with a small group in Oldfield Park.

We will unblock and balance the Solar Plexus Chakra located at the navel. This chakra is responsible for self-esteem, digestive energy (food and ideas) and emotions you carry for yourself. It is associated with sun energy and the natural element of fire, hence yellow in colour.

We'll practice sun salutations, twists and other poses to fire up the solar plexus!

Take time out for self-care. Do yoga.

Practice calming breathing exercises. Be mindful and present in your body. Stretch your muscles, improve your balance and flexibility. You will soon notice, that you actually feel calmer, more focused and physically stronger in your everyday life.

VINYASA TUESDAYS IN BATH!

Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow. Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twists. (Yogapedia)

Vinyasa flow is dynamic and the focus is on breath, fluidity, agility, strength and balance. As well as sun salutations, my vinyasa classes usually include elements of meditation, warrior poses, balances and inversions; and occasionally moon salutations. My dynamic vinyasa classes are great for stress relief.
