Today, 13th November, is 'World Kindness Day', so we have been writing kindness notes to one another and to staff members too while enjoying manicures & hand massages❤️💅❤️

So far this week we also had the opportunity to buy clothes from 'Pepperpot clothing' pop-up shop👚👖👗, play our weekly 'Bingo' with Lindsey and 'Word puzzle & quiz' with Jan. We have also started a new jigsaw puzzle in our lounge. 😊🧩🎲

Some of us have also enjoyed being outside and visited the Botanical Gardens in Victoria Park, which is looking stunning this time of year especially when the sun is shining 🍁🍂☀️☺️

This morning we enjoyed another brilliant band rehearsal for 'Remembrance Sunday' by the 93 City of Bath Squadron RAF Air Cadets . We had quite the audience today and we were so lucky it stayed dry & sunny! 🌞

We always look forward to seeing the lovely Air Cadets perform and having a chat with them all afterwards. Thanks again for coming 🙏🎺🥁🥁🎼☺️👏

Another busy week at Stratton House. Yesterday we celebrated Black History Month with a talk and drum performance by Jamaican born Rastafarian, Kappatula. All our residents & staff really enjoyed experiencing the music and learning about his culture & religion. Understanding the importance of ‘peace, unity, resistance to oppression and spiritual consciousness’. Thank you Kappatula for giving up your time to come and talk to us 🙏😊🪘

Today we had a visit from Fleur and James from the 'Fashion Museum Bath'. Fleur delivered a wonderful & interesting presentation about the collection they have and also talked about the plans for the museum which will open in a few years time.
