We listening to David Wise, Major, give an interesting talk today about the history and community role of 'The Salvation Army'. He brought along Salvation Army memorabilia including pictures, bonnets, maps, flags and plates to show us. Thank you David ☺️🙏

As we approach the end of the week and the end of a rather wet January, some of us did manage to enjoy gardening club in our potting shed where we planted various herbs. We have also been noticing what we planted previously is now slowly starting to come to life in our garden ...😁🌱🎍🪴

We all love seeing flowers bloom and in arts & crafts we are working on a flower project which will be displayed in our dining room soon...watch this space...😁🌷🌹🪻🌞

Today we went on a trip to The Holburne Museum to see an exhibition titled: 'Dame Zandra Rhodes: A Life in Print'. The exhibition features a spectacular selection of iconic screen-printed garments from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. We also had a chance to look at the Museum's permanent collection, enjoy a cup of tea & slice of cake in the Museum Cafe as well as a bit of shopping in the museum shop. Great day out! 😁😊

We finish off the week making pretty paper bouncing heart chain hanging decorations, heart loop wreaths and heart flower bouquets. With both Valentine’s day and mother’s day in the horizon we thought we would make a start with the decorations that will be displayed in our home. 🩷❤️🥰

Yesterday we all had the opportunity to listen to a fantastic violin performance by the talented Sue Lord 🎻🎼😊.

Today our friends from The National Trust /Bath Assembly Rooms, were able to tell us all about 'Georgian Dress and Bathing'. What a fabulous, fun and interactive talk. Thank you all so much for coming 🙏🎤💃😊

Lovely morning seeing gorgeous Golden Retriever Obi again, who just cheers us all up with his beautiful brown eyes and gentle nature. 🦮❤️

This afternoon we also enjoyed an enthusiastic sing-along with Bella, and yesterday we made some beautiful cards in our Arts & Crafts session with Margaret. 🎹🎼🎻🎤☺️🎨

It may be raining outside, but lovely Sam from Golden-Oldies Charity brought us sunshine, happiness & laughter with an upbeat sing-along. 🎼☀️😊😁🪇🎤💃🕺💓

We had a lovely visit today from Nellie, our Cocker Spaniel therapy dog, which brought lots of smiles to many 😊🐶🥰

In the afternoon some of us enjoyed taking part in an arts & crafts activity. We finished off our plaster figures by painting & decorating them to make them stand out. They will be placed on display in our home. Some of us also had a go at making origami hats and swans which was rather tricky. 😄

First week of January and we have already enjoyed our first sing-along with Bella (volunteer) 🎹🎼as well as a brilliant talk by Dan Kitteridge, Aircraft Captain for 'Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance', about the amazing work they do. New year's celebration at SH was a great success, with everyone enjoying drinks, nibbles and various entertainment together. We also did an early count down and sang 'Auld Lang Syne', while Norah played the piano 😊🎹🎼. Here's to 2026 🍾🥂🍾🤩🥳
