Yesterday, some of us had a go at making colourful crochet flowers with Leah. The finished pieces came together beautifully to form a flower garland, which is now proudly hanging in our dining room 🌼🌺🌸😊 🪡🧶

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome Lilly, a Year 2 Creative Arts student from Bath Spa University , who led an enjoyable creative clay tile painting session. We spent some time thinking about places or past experiences that made us feel happy and used these ideas as inspiration for our designs.☺️🎨🫟

Also this weekend, some of us took part in a fun blindfolded cup-stacking activity. The game encouraged participants to rely on their senses of touch and hearing as they worked to build their cup towers without sight. Teamwork was encouraged, as individuals had to communicate and support one another in order to build towers.
The activity was a great opportunity to develop cooperation, trust, and sensory awareness.😊

'Good Friday' was a great Friday with a singing & acoustic guitar performance by 'Now & Then'. They really had us all dancing in our seats, holding hands and singing along to present and classic songs. Even our very own carer Camy went up and sang with them🎼🎸🎤😊👏💛 ,

This afternoon we went on a very interesting and cultural 'visit to Malta' with Jan. Some of us have very fond memories of visiting Malta and living there. It was lovely to be transported to the 'gem of the Mediterranean' and reminisce together.🎤😊✈️☀️

Some of us visited Farrington's Farm Shop & Cafe this lovely sunny afternoon. We enjoyed a scenic drive getting there and had a fabulous cup of tea & cake with great friendly service. This was followed by shopping in their farm shop & gift shop as well as saying hello to their curious cows. Lovely day & happy people 😊🌞🍰☕️🐄❤️

Happy St. Patrick's Day from all of us at SH! We celebrated in style with a lovely Irish lamb stew & Guiness chocolate pudding, while listening to Irish folk music.
In the afternoon some of us continued the Irish celebrations with a themed Irish bingo & quiz, and lucky winners receiving chocolate gold coins. 🥳🍻😁

Some of our residents finished off the week making paper butterflies, bees and ladybirds with Margaret (volunteer) in arts & crafts. These have been stuck onto our colourful spring inspired flower project, which is now finished and hanging up in our dining room. We cannot wait for warmer days and sunshine 🌞🌺🌻🌼🌹🐞🦋🐝
