CD Therapies

CD Therapies Welcome to CD Therapies, in-person and online. The CSTA sets the highest standards of training and ongoing development for its practitioners in the UK.

Specialising in craniosacral therapy - a holistic approach to health and wellbeing that compliments traditional healthcare; addressing physical, emotional and mental aspects of healing and wholeness. I’m passionate about craniosacral therapy and how it can help you find balance and harmony in your body and mind. 💫

I specialise in this gentle yet powerful therapy that taps into your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Whether you’re dealing with stress, chronic pain, or just need a moment of deep relaxation, I’m here to support you. 🤗

In our sessions, you’ll experience a calm, nurturing environment where we’ll work together to release tension and restore inner peace. A little about me: I trained at the College of Craniosacral Therapy in London - the first, the largest college of its kind, and I am a registered CSTA practitioner. I specialise in supporting clients through periods of stress, burnout, life transitions (e.g. menopause) and other challenges which can seriously impact our health if not managed effectively. One client shared her experience during a particularly challenging time when her mother passed away suddenly and tragically:

‘Just having an hour in Catherine’s calming, serene presence helped calm my nervous system. It allowed me the space to stop and drop down into a relaxing state that was unachievable elsewhere.’

I believe in a holistic approach to wellness, and I’m always exploring new ways to help you feel your best. 🤸

🪐🍀🪧 6 Ways To Live Life
Like It's Your Second Time Around:
1. Do more things that make you forget to check your phone.
2. Consider the things you won't care about in 5 years. Other people's opinions, petty disagreements, sensationalized news. Allow yourself to stop caring now.
3. Spotlight Effect (Bias): We think people are paying far more attention to us than they are. Harsh truth: Your freedom begins the day you realize nobody is thinking about you.
4. Spend more time with people who give you energy and less time with those who steal it.
5. Master the 'gift of goodbye.. You don't owe loyalty to a friend or employer who belittles you. Successful & happy people simply say goodbye.
6. Normalize being weird: "Weirdness is what sets us apart, gets us hired. Be your unapologetically weird self. In fact, being weird may even find you the ultimate happiness." —

When everything is feeling overwhelming, make your bed.

When you're not feeling in love with your body, eat a nutritious meal.

When your head is full of thoughts, write them down.

When your body is feeling tight and stressed, or you're feeling anxious, take a walk.

When something is on your heart, speak the words.

When the dream is always with you, take a small step.

Sometimes a simple action can help you reset. It can move the energy and change the mood. It can help you see something a little differently; it can feel like an exhale.

And when things are a little hard, there's nothing better than getting into a beautifully made bed at the end of the day.

🌟 Mind-Body Healing with Craniosacral Therapy 🌟

As the legendary Jesse Owens once said, *"The battles that count aren't the ones for gold medals. The struggles within yourself - the invisible battles inside all of us - that's where it's at."*

This quote resonates deeply with the essence of craniosacral therapy. Often, the most significant healing happens not in what we can see, but in the quiet, inner struggles we carry. Craniosacral therapy works gently to release tension deep within the body, helping to soothe those invisible battles. It supports our nervous system, promotes self-healing, and allows us to find balance from the inside out.

If you're ready to honour the struggles within and find peace, craniosacral therapy might just be your answer. ✨

Very interesting 🤔

Researchers identified a brain-gut connection where stress affects gut bacteria through Brunner's glands. Stress reduces mucus secretion, harming beneficial bacteria like Lactobacilli.
