AIM Reflexology

AIM Reflexology Reset and restore with reflexology treatments in Biggleswade and Bedfordshire area.

Originally from Sweden, and a full member of the Association of Reflexologists, I am extremely passionate about holistic health and the benefits reflexology can bring to a person’s overall well-being, and the support it can bring through illnesses. Holding a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology for Wellbeing, I am dedicated to helping people reconnect, realign and feel better. Mind and body are so strongly linked, and reflexology can improve sleep and mood as well as releasing tension and stress in the body, providing you with the opportunity to reset and restore. It is also deeply relaxing and a very easy treatment to receive, as all you need to do is to remove your socks and shoes. During a treatment I will focus on balancing the body systems through different techniques and pressures applied to the reflex points on the feet, as well as tailoring the treatments to what you would like us to focus on. We will also cover aftercare advice to support you outside the treatment room and to feel empowered in your own health and well-being. I practice from two locations, the Happy Body Project Wellness Centre, located in Wilstead Hill out on the Bedfordshire country side, and the Brow Club in Biggleswade. Both places have a very calming feel about them, but if you decide to see me at the Wellness Centre, I would encourage you to try to either arrive 15 min before your treatment, or stay for a bit afterwards, to give you the opportunity to take in the rural and beautiful surroundings from the terrace, or relax inside the cosy reception area.

I absolutely love crisp, bright winter mornings. Feels like everything has been rejuvenated and reset again, was so wonderful to have a few of these days in early January.

I hope you all had a nice festive period, and a good start to the new year. ✨

So happy to be back in the treatment room again, and to have some really interesting courses booked in for the year as well. Slightly obsessed with fascia research and breathwork at the moment, so looking forward to delving deeper into that!

Went back to the wonderful Wonder of Wood Festival this weekend that we discovered last year. Absolutely loved it, and so inspiring to see all the creations from amazing craft makers and small businesses.

Thank you to everyone who organises this, and thank you also to .fen and for lovely conversations and great products. I’m very much looking forward to using my beeswax wraps (no more cling film here 😉) and to wearing my beautiful birch necklace which caught my eye within less than a minute. I’ve taken a photo of them on our kitchen table, hand made by my Dad and solely made of solid wood, no nails…!

Very much look forward to coming back next year again ☺️

I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer so far☀️

A part from reflexology I also do an Acupressure Facial treatment which works some incredible acupressure points. I often work these points on myself if I feel I need it as they are so easy to access and very calming, so I thought I’d share some with you. ☺️

This is Gallbladder 14, good for so many things but in particular if you feel like you need to calm your mind, relax and turn down the noise, or if you’re struggling with a headache.
I like to massage the points in small circular movements with firm pressure for around 20 seconds, and then hold whilst taking a few deep breaths.
It normally calms me down instantly, I hope you’ll give it a try 🤗

We went to Devon recently and wow what a stunning county, although extremely small roads…! Felt like around every single corner something beautiful was hidden.

Recently been listening to Dr Dacher Keltner and the importance of awe, something we might often struggle to find in our everyday life. Of course easier to find awe when you’re somewhere new, but if you really start looking for it, it’s everywhere. Even took a walk in the pouring rain one day and it was the best, made everything even more radiant somehow, definitely worth getting soaked for.

A lot of photos of trees, as usual.. (!) but tried to mix it up with a little bit of sea inbetween ☺️

Fascia is currently my new obsession…!

One of the things I love about being a reflexologist is that you are always learning and continuing to develop your practice with new techniques and approaches.

I recently did a really interesting course about fascia with a Danish reflexology centre who are at the forefront of developing new techniques in the reflexology field. These slides are a short summary what fascia is all about, but there is so much more to it!

The body truly is such a fascinating, integrated system, where everything is connected, and the fascia is such an important part of the whole.

If you would like to try the facial but not sure of committing to the full hour treatment, I have mini Facial treatments available on Fri 14th March. At the moment this is the only day I’m doing but I have plans for more!

I often get asked how working on the feet can have such an affect on the rest of the body. There are many different theories behind this, I hope this explains a bit how it can help to release muscle tension.

But another very important reason for so many holistic therapies is that everything is connected, and if we start looking at the body as a whole instead of separate parts, it then starts to make much more sense how it all interacts.
