Today, all of us at NE14Tech are heartbroken.

One of the lads we had the privilege of working with has sadly taken his own life. This has come as a huge shock to us all, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

He wasn’t just a name he was someone who mattered. Someone who had value, strength, and a story that deserved to continue.

If there’s one thing we believe he would want people to know, it’s this:

Life is worth living. Even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Please, if you’re struggling right now don’t stay silent. Reach out to someone. A friend, a family member, a professional… anyone. You are not alone, no matter how much it feels like you are.

At NE14Tech, this is exactly why we do what we do. No one should have to fight these battles alone.

Looking ahead to 2026.

Over the last year I’ve been building something called Detox Guardian not as a promise, not as hype, but as a response to a gap that too many people fall through.

The moments waiting for support.
The moments after treatment ends.
The moments when people are doing their best, but the system can’t always be there.

Detox Guardian is about supporting people through those vulnerable transitions calmly, safely, and without judgement working alongside health services, not replacing them.

There’s still a journey ahead, but the direction is clear.
If we get this right, fewer people will fall through the gaps.

2026 matters.
One step at a time.

Facebook: Reduce Gambling Adverts (Mobile App)

1️⃣ Go to Ad Settings

1. Open Facebook

2. Tap ☰ Menu (bottom right on iPhone / top right on Android)

3. Tap Settings & privacy

4. Tap Settings

5. Scroll down and tap Ads

2️⃣ Limit Gambling Ads (IMPORTANT)

1. In Ads, tap Ad topics

2. Tap Gambling

3. Select See less

👉 This tells Facebook you don’t want gambling content.

3️⃣ Remove Gambling Interests

1. Go back to Ads

2. Tap Ad settings

3. Tap Ads based on your activity

4. Make sure this is set to Not allowed (or as limited as possible)

Then:

1. Tap Ad interests

2. Remove anything related to:
• Gambling
• Betting
• Casinos
• Poker
• Sports betting

4️⃣ Hide Gambling Ads When You See Them

Every time one appears:

1. Tap the ⋯ three dots on the ad

2. Tap Hide ad

3. Choose Sensitive / Gambling

⚠️ This is VERY important — it retrains the algorithm.

5️⃣ Optional but Helpful

• Unfollow pages related to:

• Sports betting

• Online games with money

• Avoid clicking, watching, or reacting to gambling-related posts (even out of anger — Facebook still counts it)

⚠️ Important truth (so you’re not blaming yourself)

• Facebook does not fully block gambling ads
• “See less” ≠ “Never”

• If one slips through, you haven’t failed

• Reducing exposure is harm reduction — and it matters
